    Advice: Schanuel's three-run blast in the fifth inning sparked a big rally from the Angels. Entering Monday, the first baseman had gone 0-for-11 over his last three games. He's up to five homers, 18 RBI, 15 runs scored, three doubles and a .232/.306/.351 slash line through 172 plate appearances this season.     Freddie Freeman went 2-for-4 and hit a grand slam Monday as the Dodgers down the Diamondbacks 6-4.

    Advice: The Dodgers scored all of their runs in the third, an inning that also featured homers from Kiké Hernandez and Will Smith. Freeman’s slam was the sixth of his career.     Jake McCarthy went 2-for-4 and hit his second homer against the Dodgers on Monday.

    Advice: McCarthy’s homer was hit 106.6 mph off Eliezer Hernández, edging out his previous season high. He’s off to a pretty encouraging start offensively, hitting .283/.357/.414 in 114 plate appearances. Unfortunately, he hasn’t delivered in the stolen base department, collecting just three in 40 games, and there just isn’t much reason to think he’ll remain a factor once Alek Thomas is healthy.     Henderson went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Cardinals.

    Advice: Henderson has homered in four straight games and continues to lead the majors with 16 long balls. The shortstop's sixth-inning blast off Sonny Gray was all the runs the Orioles could muster Monday. Henderson stumbled a bit in the middle of May, but he's quickly returned to form and is now sporting a .271/.351/.610 slash line with 34 RBI, 35 runs scored and seven stolen bases over 45 contests.     Advice: Goldschmidt's hitting streak came to an end at eight games, but he was still able to provide a contribution in his lone trip on base Monday. The first baseman's streak has helped to get him out of deep slump, though he's still hitting just .209 on the season.     Advice: Burleson upped his hitting streak to six games (12-for-25), and five of those contests have been multi-hit efforts. He also has two homers, two steals, four RBI and six runs scored in that span. Burleson isn't known for his speed -- he's at two steals in 2024, one shy of last year's mark, which he achieved in 107 games.     Siani went 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI and one stolen base in Monday's 6-3 win over the Orioles.

    Advice: Siani hit an RBI single in the second inning and then hit his first big-league homer in the fourth, a three-run blast off Dean Kremer. The long ball was Siani's first extra-base hit since a double May 12 versus the Brewers. The outfielder is batting .341 (14-for-41) over 16 contests in May, though he's still at a mediocre .238 average and .611 OPS through 93 plate appearances on the year.   • Nolan Schanuel hits three-run homer in Angels’ win
    Nolan Schanuel went 2-for-5 and hit a three-run homer Monday as the Angels outlasted the Astros 9-7.

    Advice: Schanuel’s exit velocity numbers aren’t the least bit impressive, but he’s having enough success pulling flyballs that he’s now hit five homers, even though his longest drive of the year is 381 feet.   • Luis Rengifo swipes two bags against Astros
    Luis Rengifo had two hits and two steals against the Astros on Monday.

    Advice: The second steal saw him jam his left hand into second base, leaving him with an injured middle finger in spite of the oven mitt he was wearing.
