Isiah Kiner-Falefa is week-to-week with a right knee sprain.
Advice: Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters Tuesday that Kiner-Falefa is going to require more than a minimum stay on the injured list after suffering a right knee sprain. There isn’t an official timeline for his return, but the absence of any sort of clarity means he’s most likely out until after the All-Star break. RotoworldYesterday, 5:35 pm
Corey Seager (hand) able to swing a bat on Tuesday
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy told reporters Tuesday that Corey Seager remains day-to-day with a left hand contusion.
Advice: Bochy added that Seager is doing better after being hit by a pitch during Saturday’s game and was able to progress to swinging a bat again. Although he’s not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Padres it certainly sounds like he has a shot at getting back into game action at some point in the coming days. Seager (wrist) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Padres.
Advice: The 30-year-old has had X-rays and an MRI come back negative since being struck in the left wrist by a pitch Saturday in Baltimore, but he'll still sit for the second straight game Tuesday. Josh Smith will receive another start at shortstop as Seager continues to heal up. Rotowire.comYesterday, 1:05 pm
Corey Seager (hand) is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Padres.
Advice: Seager could possibly be available off the bench after imaging came back negative on his left hand, but that’s not known at this time. The shortstop will take a seat to begin Tuesday’s tilt with Josh Smith getting the start at shortstop and Jonathan Ornelas at third base. For now, consider Seager day-to-day. Kiner-Falefa was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday due to a left knee sprain.
Advice: Kiner-Falefa was scratched from Monday's game with a left knee injury and an MRI revealed he's only dealing with a sprain. Still, the utility player will require an IL stint, opening up a spot on the active roster for Leo Jimenez. Kiner-Falefa is slashing .292/.338/.420 with a 13.2 percent K rate this season. Blue Jays placed INF Isiah Kiner-Falefa on the 10-day injured list with a right knee sprain.
Advice: Falefa was scratched from Monday’s lineup due to pain in his left knee, and the Blue Jays will have the infielder miss at least a week-plus while he gets better. He underwent an MRI after the injury, and while the results haven’t been made public yet, it couldn’t have been too good of news if he’s going to miss time. Leo Jimenez has been recalled from Triple-A to replace Kiner-Falefa on the roster. RotoworldYesterday, 12:21 pm
An MRI on Corey Seager’s injured left hand came back negative, leaving the shortstop day-to-day.
Advice: Seager left Saturday’s game after being hit by a pitch and didn’t play Sunday. With no damage inside the hand, he’ll be able to play as soon as he feels comfortable gripping and swinging a bat. RotoworldMonday, 3:23 pm
Isiah Kiner-Falefa said he underwent an MRI after feeling something in his left knee while stretching prior to Monday’s game.
Advice: This doesn’t sound good. Kiner-Falefa, who is putting together a terrific season as a super-utilityman, was a last-minute scratch before the game today. If he lands on the injured list, it’ll probably mean more regular playing time for Davis Schneider and a longer look for Addison Barger. RotoworldMonday, 3:18 pm
Kiner-Falefa is awaiting results of an MRI on his left knee, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.
Advice: Kiner-Falefa was a late scratch from Monday's lineup against the Astros after feeling something in his knee while stretching pregame. Ernie Clement was in the lineup for the Blue Jays on Monday at third base, where Kiner-Falefa has been seeing most of his playing time. It's possible an update on Kiner-Falefa's status will be available later Monday. Rotowire.comMonday, 3:11 pm
