    • Still out of lineup
Farmer (hand) isn't part of the starting nine for Tuesday's game against The White Sox.

Advice: Farmer has primarily been a short-side platoon player for Minnesota this season, so his absence from the lineup on back-to-back nights with the Twins facing a right-handed pitcher isn't exactly out of the ordinary. However, Farmer exited Sunday's game against Houston after being hit by a pitch on his finger. Considering X-rays on his index finger came back negative, Farmer likely isn't dealing with anything more than bruising and soreness. The infielder could be back in the lineup as soon as Wednesday, with southpaw Drew Thorpe slated to start for Chicago. Rotowire.com Today, 1:01 pm

    • Taking seat Tuesday
Taylor is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Phillies, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Taylor started the previous seven games but will sit after going 4-for-22 with two homers, six walks and eight strikeouts during that span. Cavan Biggio will take over at the hot corner Tuesday in Philadelphia. Rotowire.com Today, 12:46 pm

    • Yoan Moncada (adductor) beginning rehab assignment
Yoan Moncada (adductor) is starting a rehab assignment with the Arizona Complex League White Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: Moncada will head to Goodyear as he looks to make his return from the adductor strain that has sidelined him since the middle of April. The 29-year-old will need a lengthy rehab assignment after missing that much time, but he could be back with the White Sox around August if everything goes right. Whether or not that will make him relevant in fantasy leagues is another question, and the answer is probably not in most formats. Rotoworld Today, 12:45 pm

    • Starting rehab assignment
Moncada (adductor) will begin a rehab assignment with the White Sox' Arizona Complex League affiliate Tuesday, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Advice: It will be his first game action in three months, as Moncada has been slowly working his way back from an adductor strain. Given the long layoff, he will surely require several rehab games before returning to Chicago's active roster. A return before the end of the month for Moncada should be doable. • Enjoying strong 15-game stretch
Lopez went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI, a run scored and a stolen base Monday against the Twins.

Advice: Lopez has just a .607 OPS for the season, but he's in the midst of a very productive stretch. Across his last 15 games dating back to June 22, he's gone 15-for-43 with nine RBI, six runs scored and two stolen bases. Lopez is still hitting in the bottom third of the order and sitting against lefties, limiting his overall value. Rotowire.com Today, 8:19 am

    • Begins rehab assignment
Caminero (quadricep) will begin a rehab assignment Tuesday with the Rays' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate, Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com reports.

Advice: Caminero has been shelved since late May with a Grade 2 left quadriceps strain but has finally been cleared to return to game action. After getting in a few rookie-level contests, the top prospect will eventually move back up to Triple-A Durham, where he's slashed .261/.333/.478 with eight home runs over 153 plate appearances this season. Caminero could still receive a promotion to the Rays after the All-Star break, but at this point, he probably won't be called up until at least August. Rotowire.com Today, 8:07 am

    • Junior Caminero (quad) starting rehab assignment
Rays INF prospect Junior Caminero (quad) is beginning a rehab assignment Tuesday in the Florida Complex League.

Advice: Caminero has been on the shelf with a Grade 2 left quad strain since the end of May. The infielder is one of the top prospects in baseball, but he’s been limited to just 34 games at the Triple-A level. If Caminero avoids setbacks, he should be back in Triple-A shortly, and then he has a chance to help fantasy managers and Tampa Bay by the end of the summer. Rotoworld Today, 7:58 am

    • Logs multi-hit game
Candelario went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 6-0 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Candelario, who has a modest five-game hit streak (6-for-21), logged his first multi-hit effort in 12 games. He entered Monday batting .156 (7-for-45) over the previous 11 contests. Rotowire.com Today, 4:47 am

    • Makes first start
Rios started at first base and went 0-for-3 in Monday's 6-0 win over Colorado.

Advice: Rios made his first start for the Reds since his contract was selected from Triple-A Louisville. The team is dealing with several absences that have cropped up recently, which required a dip into the minors. Rios was initially brought up when the Reds added Jake Fraley to the family medical emergency list, and the team subsequently placed Nick Martini (thumb) and Stuart Fairchild (back) on the 10-day injured list over the weekend. Once Austin Slater, who was recently acquired from the Giants, joins the team Tuesday, Rios could return to Louisville. Rotowire.com Today, 4:35 am
