    • Ends power drought Tuesday
Turner went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Rays.

Advice: The veteran slugger went back-to-back with Vladimir Guerrero in the sixth inning off Manuel Rodriguez to account for all of the Jays' offense on the night. Turner snapped a 21-game homer drought with the blast, a stretch in which he managed only two doubles and seven RBI while slashing .219/.348/.247. Given that he only signed a one-year deal with Toronto in January, Turner is one of the players the team will be looking to move by the trade deadline, so a hot streak to close out July could net the Jays a slightly better return. • Fitzgerald homers in his fifth straight game
Tyler Fitzgerald went 3-for-3 with a walk, a home run, and two RBI in a loss to the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Advice: Fitzgerald has seemingly emerged as the Giants’ starting shortstop, having started each of the last four games, including three against right-handed batters. It could simply be the team riding the hot hand, but Fitzgerald is 9-for-20 (.450) in seven games in July with five home runs, nine RBI, and one steal. The 27-year-old has produced solid power/speed numbers in the line leagues over the last two seasons and has six home runs and seven steals in 39 games with the Giants so far in 2024. He should be rostered in deeper formats now to see if he can hold the starting job, and would be relevant in shallower leagues if he does indeed emerge as the clear starter. Rotoworld Today, 7:37 am
    • Tyler O’Neill homers twice in Boston’s win
Tyler O’Neill delivered his 19th and 20th homers in leading the Red Sox to a 6-0 win over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: The Red Sox would almost certainly trade O’Neill if they reverse course and sell at the trade deadline, but it doesn’t seem like things will come to that. The Red Sox remain in prime postseason position at 54-46 for the season, though they still have tough sledding ahead with two superior teams vying for the AL East crown. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:39 pm
    • Drives in lone run in win
Turang went 1-for-2 with a walk, one RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 1-0 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Offense was at a premium Tuesday, and Turang's RBI single in the eighth inning was the lone run of the game. The second baseman has gone just 2-for-18 with four RBI over four contests since the All-Star break. He's gone 14 games without a multi-hit effort, but he's enough of a speed threat to stay atop the order even when he's not hitting at his best. For the year, Turang has 31 steals, six home runs, 42 RBI, 47 runs scored and a .268/.332/.376 slash line over 97 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:37 pm

    • Turang drives in lone run for Brewers in win
Brice Turang went 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Cubs.

Advice: Turang gave the Brewers their first and only run of the night in the eighth inning when he singled off Julian Merryweather to drive home Jake Bauers. Turang’s RBI single proved to be enough for the Brewers to walk away with the win, as starter Colin Rea and the bullpen held the Cubs to seven hits and no runs on the evening. Turang is now sitting on 42 RBI on the season but is slashing a woeful .156/.217/.188 in the month of July. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:12 pm

    • Dealing with back tightness
Yelich was removed from Tuesday's game against the Cubs due to back tightness, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The 32-year-old outfielder had gone 0-for-1 with two walks before Rhys Hoskins pinch hit for him in the eighth inning. Back injuries have been a recurring issue for Yelich in recent seasons, and he spent nearly a month on the injured list earlier in the year due to a lower-back strain. The severity of his latest injury remains unknown, though manager Pat Murphy said after the game that Yelich may land on the IL again given his history. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:59 pm

    • Reaches 20-homer mark in style
O'Neill went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Tuesday's 6-0 win over the Rockies.

Advice: This was his second multi-homer game in his last four contests. O'Neill is 10-for-23 (.435) over five games since the All-Star break, and it appears his power has returned to the form he displayed in April as well. The outfielder is up to 20 homers, 38 RBI, 54 runs scored, three stolen bases and a .267/.356/.535 slash line through 73 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:37 pm
    • Castellanos drives in two as Phils down Twins
Nick Castellanos went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Twins.

Advice: Castellanos’ two-run double in the ninth padded the Phillies’ lead at 3-0, putting them in position to come out on the winning side of a pitcher’s duel that saw both teams go eight innings without scoring a run. Castellanos is 6-for-19 at the plate over his last five games, with a homer, four doubles, and five RBI. He’s slashing .266/.309/.500 on the month with nine extra-base hits. • Justin Turner homers in three-hit night vs. Rays
Justin Turner went 3-for-4 with a home run in Tuesday’s loss to the Rays.

Advice: Turner swatted a 404-foot shot off Rays pitcher Manuel Rodriguez after Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a solo shot of his own in the previous at-bat. Turner now has six homers on the year and has tallied five hits in 16 at-bats since returning from the all-star break. Despite the solid night, Turner is slashing a dreadful .098/.174/.098 on the month. He doesn’t offer much fantasy value at this time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:07 pm
