Bauers went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 15-5 loss to the Yankees.

He also added a double and a single in the contest, securing his second straight multi-hit performance in a game he started. • Nolan Jones leaves game with stiff back on Sunday
Nolan Jones was removed from Sunday’s game against the Astros due to stiffness in his back.

Advice: The 25-year-old outfielder has been battling the back issue for a while now and is very frustrated with his latest flareup on Sunday. Rockies’ skipper Bud Black told reporters on Sunday that they’ll determine over the next couple of days whether or not he’ll require a trip to the injured list. Fantasy managers who are relying on Jones for next week should be sure to have an alternative option in place. Rotoworld 29 minutes ago

  • Fills in at first base
Steer started at first base and went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and an RBI in Sunday's 4-3 loss to Texas.

Advice: Steer moved from his usual left field to first base, replacing the injured Christian Encarnacion-Strand (hand). The run batted in was just his second in the last 14 games, but Speer continues to the lead the club with 20 RBI through 28 games. The steal was his seventh, nearly half of the 15 he had over 156 games in 2023. Encarnacion-Strand may miss a few more games, per Mark Sheldon of MLB.com, and Steer could add to his games played at first base. So far, he's made four appearances there. Rotowire.com 40 minutes ago

  • Sits with hand injury
Encarnacion-Strand was held out of Sunday's game due to a hand injury suffered the previous day, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Encarnacion-Strand was struck on his left hand by a pitch Saturday. According to manager David Bell, X-rays showed he did not sustain a fracture; however, the imaging revealed evidence of a previous fracture that may be contributing to his soreness. Spencer Steer filled at first base for Encarnacion-Strand, who could be out a "few days," per Bell. Rotowire.com 50 minutes ago
