Miller has shown great command over the last several weeks, posting a 37:7 K:BB across his last 46.2 innings. He's issued just three free passes over his last six starts.     Advice: Tovar's hitting streak is up to 15 games, with this being his ninth multi-hit effort in that span.     Ezequiel Tovar went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored versus the Giants on Sunday.

    Advice: Pitchers just can’t seem to sufficiently exploit Tovar’s tendency to swing at absolutely everything., He has a 39/2 K/BB in his last 28 games, but his numbers have held up anyway.     Kyle Schwarber went 2-for-4 with a walk, two home runs, and three RBI in a loss to the Guardians on Sunday.

    Advice: Schwarber accounted for all of the Phillies’ runs on Sunday and over one-third of their hits. The veteran launched rookie Joey Cantillo’s first-ever MLB pitch into the stands for a 398-foot home run and then took it a step further against the rookie in his next at-bat with a 404-foot two-run home run at 110.1 mph.   • Mountcastle has 4 RBI in possible trade showcase
    Ryan Mountcastle went 2-for-5 with four RBI and one run scored in a win over the Padres on Sunday.

    Advice: Both of Mountcastle’s hits were singles and each of them drove in two runs, including his two-run single in the eighth inning which gave the Orioles a much-needed three-run cushion. The 27-year-old has been the center of trade rumors over the last few weeks since the Orioles have plenty of young hitters pushing for a promotion. With top prospect Coby Mayo also starting to play first base in Triple-A, it seems like Mountcastle’s time in Baltimore could be drawing to a close, but he’s hitting .270 on the season with 50 RBI and could see a power boost if he were moved to a different stadium.     Advice: Schwarber took Guardians rookie starter Joey Cantillo deep two times, belting a leadoff home run in the opening frame followed by a two-run shot in the third inning. The 31-year-old drove in all three Phillies runs Sunday, recording three RBI for the second straight game. After coming out of the All-Star break slowly, Schwarber is now riding a four-game hitting streak during which he has racked up five extra-base hits, four walks and eight RBI.     Jose Altuve went 2-for-3 with two doubles, a run scored, and a walk on Sunday against the Dodgers.

    Advice: Ho-hum, Altuve is still one of the best and most reliable bats in the league. Both his doubles were scalded and they pushed his batting average to .309 and OPS to .814 on the season.     Reynaldo López will undergo an MRI exam to determine the severity of his forearm injury.

    Advice: The 30-year-old right-hander was pulled from Sunday’s start against the Mets after three scoreless innings after experiencing tightness in his right forearm. The Braves were concerned enough that they immediately sent him for imaging to figure out exactly what’s going on there.
