• Runs up pitch count in no-decision
Peralta allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out six batters over five innings in a no-decision against Texas on Monday.

Advice: Peralta pitched pretty well in the outing, but he could go only five frames as a result of throwing 104 pitches. That's been a theme for the right-hander of late, as he's completed six innings in only one of his past six starts despite allowing three or fewer earned runs in five of those outings. Peralta's 4.03 ERA and 1.17 WHIP on the campaign are on pace for his worst marks since 2019, though he's been able to rack up 112 strikeouts (fifth-most in the majors) over 87 innings. • Freddy Peralta strikes out six against Rangers
Freddy Peralta allowed two runs over five innings and struck out six versus the Rangers on Monday.

Advice: Peralta got 15 whiffs tonight, but he ran up a pitch count of 104 in five innings, preventing him from working any deeper into the game. He’s finished six innings just once in his last six starts, which is a real problem given that he’s supposed to be the ace of a rotation that’s quite shorthanded at the moment. • Can't convert save chance
Beeks (4-4) blew the save and took the loss Sunday against the Nationals, allowing two runs on three hits with a strikeout across one inning.

Advice: Beeks was given his first save opportunity since June 5 but couldn't come through for his seventh save of the campaign. Colorado led 1-0 heading into the ninth inning, but Beeks yielded an RBI double to Lane Thomas that plated CJ Abrams -- who advanced to second on a wild pitch -- before allowing Thomas to steal third and score on a two-out single by Joey Meneses. Although Beeks is 6-for-11 on save chances, he owns a 3.76 ERA and should still be in the mix with Tyler Kinley for saves as part of a shaky Rockies bullpen. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:43 pm

  • Tagged with six runs
Miller (6-6) allowed six runs on six hits and a walk over four innings Sunday, striking out three and taking a loss against the Marlins.

Advice: Miami jumped on Miller early with a four-run first inning. He gave up another run in the second before Jesus Sanchez scored the Marlins' final run with a solo shot in the third. Miller has allowed 15 earned runs over five starts this month, resulting in a 4.88 ERA in that span. Two of those outings have accounted for 13 of the runs. Miller has produced a 4.89 ERA since the start of May, driving his season mark up to 3.90. He's currently in line for a home matchup with the Twins next weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:56 pm

  • Bryce Miller hit hard by Marlins
Bryce Miller allowed six earned runs in four innings on Sunday against the Marlins. He struck out three and walked one in a loss.

Advice: This felt like a smash-spot for Miller and instead the lowly Marlins smashed him. They hammered his usually excellent fastball for an average exit velocity of 101.6 MPH on five balls in play. Yes, an average exit velocity of 101.6 MPH. Jesús Sánchez also hammered a splitter that sat at the top of the zone an estimated 429 feet. His command was poor, he only forced four swings and misses, and got crushed. • Strikes out 10 in victory
Glasnow (8-5) picked up the win over the Angels on Saturday, allowing one run on two hits over seven innings while striking out 10.

Advice: Glasnow got off to a great start, going 1-2-3 through each of the first three innings while striking out five of the first 11 batters he faced. He would allow just one unearned run over the first six frames before leaving a slider up in the zone in the seventh, which Logan O'Hoppe launched into the stands for a solo shot. Glasnow has been spectacular as of late, with the exception of his road outing against the Yankees three starts back, allowing no more than three hits in four of his last five outings. He's also posted double-digit strikeouts in two of his last three starts and now carries a 40:4 K:BB in June to go along with a 2.42 ERA. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:56 am

  • Tyler Glasnow dominates Angels with 10 strikeouts
Tyler Glasnow recorded 10 strikeouts and was charged with two runs (one earned) over seven innings on Saturday in a win over the Angels.

Advice: Glasnow took the ball for Saturday’s Freeway Series finale at Dodger Stadium and authored another dominant performance, notching his sixth double-digit strikeout effort in the process. He generated only nine swinging strikes, but threw an astounding 51 of 74 pitches for strikes to finish with a near-elite 36 percent CSW. He gave up only two hits as a fifth-inning solo shot by Logan O’Hoppe accounted for the lone earned run against him in this one. He’s bounced back following a rough outing against the Yankees back on June 9 by completing seven innings in each of his last two starts, while notching 19 strikeouts and allowing just one earned run during that span. He’ll carry a sparkling 2.88 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 135/25 K/BB ratio across 100 innings (16 starts) into a road matchup on Saturday against the Giants. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:33 am

  • Jalen Beeks gets win in relief vs. Nationals
Jalen Beeks fired 1 1/3 scoreless innings on Saturday to record a win in relief against the Nationals.

Advice: Beeks came on to record the final out of the eighth inning with the Rockies trailing by two runs at the time before coming out to spin a flawless ninth inning as well. Colorado’s lineup responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the frame to give the veteran southpaw his fourth victory of the season. The 30-year-old lefty has excelled this year in his Rockies debut with six saves to accompany a serviceable 3.38 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 29/16 K/BB ratio across 37 1/3 innings (33 appearances). • Earns first career win
Thorpe (1-1) earned the win against the Tigers on Saturday, allowing two hits and four walks while striking out five over six scoreless innings.

Advice: Thorpe turned in the best start of his young major-league career, earning his first win in the process. He leaned on his changeup, throwing it 38 times and generating an impressive 10 swinging strikes on the pitch. The rookie walked four batters after yielding five free passes June 16 and owns an unimpressive 9:11 K:BB with a 5.02 ERA and 1.53 WHIP over 14.1 innings with the White Sox. He lines up for a home matchup with Atlanta next week. Rotowire.com Saturday, 5:32 pm
