• Can't convert save chance
Beeks (4-4) blew the save and took the loss Sunday against the Nationals, allowing two runs on three hits with a strikeout across one inning.

Advice: Beeks was given his first save opportunity since June 5 but couldn't come through for his seventh save of the campaign. Colorado led 1-0 heading into the ninth inning, but Beeks yielded an RBI double to Lane Thomas that plated CJ Abrams -- who advanced to second on a wild pitch -- before allowing Thomas to steal third and score on a two-out single by Joey Meneses. Although Beeks is 6-for-11 on save chances, he owns a 3.76 ERA and should still be in the mix with Tyler Kinley for saves as part of a shaky Rockies bullpen. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:43 pm

  • Jalen Beeks gets win in relief vs. Nationals
Jalen Beeks fired 1 1/3 scoreless innings on Saturday to record a win in relief against the Nationals.

Advice: Beeks came on to record the final out of the eighth inning with the Rockies trailing by two runs at the time before coming out to spin a flawless ninth inning as well. Colorado’s lineup responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the frame to give the veteran southpaw his fourth victory of the season. The 30-year-old lefty has excelled this year in his Rockies debut with six saves to accompany a serviceable 3.38 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 29/16 K/BB ratio across 37 1/3 innings (33 appearances). • Picks up third win
Beeks (3-3) threw a scoreless ninth inning while allowing one hit and striking out one to earn the win Wednesday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Beeks entered the game with the score knotted at 6-6. He delivered his sixth consecutive scoreless appearance, and in that span he has three holds and a win. Given the Rockies' struggles to find a reliable closer this season, Beeks may get a second look in the role. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:47 am

  • Another scoreless outing
Lopez (5-2) earned the win Wednesday over the Tigers, allowing seven hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out six.

Advice: It's the second straight scoreless outing for Lopez, though he failed to make it through six innings for just the second time in his last six starts. The 30-year-old right-hander lowered his ERA to a remarkable 1.57 with a 1.08 WHIP and 76:23 K:BB across 74.1 innings this year. Lopez is currently lined up for a road matchup with the Cardinals early next week in his next start. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:54 pm

  • Reynaldo López shuts out Tigers for five in win
Reynaldo López scattered seven hits over five scoreless innings in a victory over the Tigers on Wednesday.

Advice: Both Lopez and Tarik Skubal allowed seven hits in this one, but every one López surrendered was a single and they were all spread out; he allowed one each in the first three innings and two apiece in the fourth and fifth. It meant López was in no position to go deep today, but he didn’t need to in a 7-0 game. López moved to 5-2 with a 1.57 ERA. Rotoworld Wednesday, 12:31 pm

  • Gets final out for save
Stanek allowed a hit but was not charged with a run over one-third of an inning, earning the save in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Eduard Bazardo struggled in the ninth inning after being brought in with a six-run lead. He gave up three runs and Stanek allowed one inherited runner to score before getting Corey Seager on a groundout to end the contest. Stanek is gaining an increasingly notable role in the Mariners' bullpen, having earned four saves over his last six appearances, though he likely got this opportunity because Andres Munoz had pitched the last two days. Stanek is up to seven saves with a 4.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 28:10 K:BB over 27 innings. At this point, the Mariners' closer situation should be considered a committee between Stanek and Munoz, with the latter likely to receive assignments in the highest-leverage spots. • Ryne Stanek gets one-out save against Rangers
Ryne Stanek got the final out to get a save against the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Stanek gets the save even in a 7-3 game because he faced the tying run. The right-hander allows a two-run single to Marcus Semien, but those runs were charged to Eduard Bazardo. He was able to get Corey Seager out to end the game, but it’s worth noting it took a terrific play by Tyler Locklear to get that out. Stanek now has seven saves in 2024. Rotoworld Jun 15, 7:05 pm
