• Masyn Winn collects first homer of 2024
Masyn Winn’s first homer of the season with was a two-run shot off Boston’s Cam Booser in Friday’s win.

Advice: Winn hit the ball 402 feet, which was far and away his longest drive of the season. He previously had a 379-foot double off Sean Manaya, but he hadn’t hit anything else over 350 feet in 142 plate appearances. Winn has been perfectly solid in batting .280/.343/.384 this year, but his profile doesn’t suggest that he’ll be hitting many more homers in his first full season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:52 pm

  • Turns game around with homer
Estrada went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run and three total runs scored in Friday's 10-5 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Estrada's fifth-inning blast put the Giants ahead for the first time in the contest, and they held the lead the rest of the way. The second baseman had gone 4-for-22 (.182) over his previous six contests, though he had a pair of extra-base hits in that span. Estrada is up to an acceptable .250/.274/.435 slash line with seven homers, 24 RBI, 21 runs scored, eight doubles, one triple and one stolen base through 175 plate appearances in a starting role this season. • Thairo Estrada picks up three hits, homer vs. COL
Thairo Estrada homered while going 3-for-5 and scoring three runs against the Giants on Friday.

Advice: Estrada swatted his seventh homer of the season with a three-run homer in the fifth inning that also gave San Francisco a 5-4 lead. The 28-year-old also singled twice and scored three runs in a massive fantasy effort for the veteran infielder. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:18 pm

  • Belts another leadoff homer
Betts went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and two total runs scored in Friday's 7-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: Betts' last two homers have been of the leadoff variety, and they're his only two long balls in May. He's hitting .283 this month, though that's dropped his season-long average to a still-stunning .341 through 47 contests. Betts has added eight homers, 29 RBI, 40 runs scored, eight stolen bases, 11 doubles and three triples over 218 plate appearances while serving as the everyday leadoff hitter. • Xander Bogaerts swipes two bases against Braves
Xander Bogaerts collected two singles and two steals versus the Braves on Friday.

Advice: The least struggling hitters can do is steal a few bases for those rostering them in fantasy leagues. Bogaerts doubled his steal total for the season tonight, collecting two in a game for the first time since last May 5. He now has 12 two-steal games in his career, which is kind of impressive because he has just 81 career steals. He has only eight two-homer games, though he’s totaled 179 homers in his 12 seasons. • Hits first homer of season
Winn went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 10-6 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Winn has done a lot of things right this season, but he didn't have a homer until he took Boston reliever Cam Booser deep in the sixth inning. The shortstop has hit safely in nine of his last 10 games, going 11-for-34 (.324) in that span. Winn is up to a .280/.343/.384 slash line with 10 RBI, 12 runs scored, seven stolen bases, six doubles and three triples through 142 plate appearances in a near-everyday role. • Lifts three-run homer
Garcia went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Friday's 6-2 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Garcia went deep as part of a five-run sixth inning that put the Royals in full control. The third baseman has hit safely in five straight games, adding two steals and four RBI in that span despite going a meager 5-for-22 (.227). Garcia's been held hitless in just three of 14 games in May, so he's still putting together decent at-bats despite not having an explosive offense. The 24-year-old is slashing .238/.286/.381 with five homers, 28 RBI, 21 runs scored and 10 steals through 44 contests overall. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:26 pm

  • Javier Báez drives in five as Tigers crush D-Backs
Javier Báez drove in five runs while going 3-for-4 in a blowout win Friday over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Before Friday’s game, Tigers manager A.J. Hinch gave Báez a vote of confidence. It worked. The infielder doubled twice and reminded of the version that was once was one of the best middle-infielders in the sport. Even with this strong game Báez is still slashing an ugly .185/.216/.254 over 130 at-bats, but this was a reminder that there’s still some talent left in the 31-year-old’s bat. • Drives in five
Baez went 3-for-4 with two doubles, five RBI and a run scored in Friday's 13-0 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Baez was given a vote of confidence from manager A.J. Hinch earlier this week, and he made good on it with his best game of the season. This was the shortstop's third multi-hit effort this season and the first time he's driven in multiple runs. Baez is still slashing a paltry .185/.216/.254 with one home run, 18 RBI, nine runs scored, six doubles and six stolen bases over 38 contests. He's set to remain the starting shortstop for the foreseeable future, as the Tigers have no obvious candidates to push him for playing time. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:20 pm
