    • Effective again in no-decision
Lopez allowed two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out four batters over 6.1 innings in a no-decision versus San Diego in Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader.

Advice: Lopez exited his previous start against the Cubs early due to back tightness, but the issue didn't seem to bother him Monday. The right-hander tossed 83 pitches and left in line for the win before Atlanta's bullpen crumbled late in the contest. Lopez earned his fourth quality start of the campaign but actually saw his ERA rise from 1.34 to 1.54, highlight how great he's been this season. Monday was just the second time through eight outings that he's given up more than one earned run. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:07 pm
    • Hit hard in loss
Kremer (3-4) allowed five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out two over four innings to take the loss Monday versus the Cardinals.

Advice: Mike Siani was responsible for plating four of the runs on Kremer's line with an RBI single and a three-run home run. This was a second straight subpar start for Kremer, who has allowed 11 runs (eight earned) over his last 9.2 innings. The right-hander is at a 4.32 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 49:18 K:BB through 50 innings over nine starts this season. The Orioles have a busy schedule through the end of June, so Kremer is unlikely to lose his place in the rotation in the near future, but he'll need to be sharper than he has been lately to maintain his spot in the second half of the season. He is projected to make his next start on the road versus the White Sox. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:09 pm
    • Kremer allows five in loss Monday
Dean Kremer allowed five runs in four innings and took the loss against the Cardinals on Monday.

Advice: Kremer gave up an RBI single to Michael Siani, an RBI double to Masyn Winn and a three-run home run to Michael Siani. He allowed six hits total, walked three and struck out only two. His ERA is now 4.32 on the season and the loss was his fourth of the year. Kremer has 49 strikeouts in 50 innings on the season and a 1.12 WHIP, but you have to wonder if the Orioles might look for an upgrade in their rotation eventually. The 28-year-old right-hander is scheduled to face the White Sox on the road on Saturday.

    • Triceps tightness keeps Senga from mound session
Kodai Senga did not throw his scheduled bullpen session Monday because of triceps tightness.

Advice: Senga isn’t being shut down; the Mets are still hoping to have him on the mound later this week. All of these little setbacks he’s having as he tries to return from a shoulder injury are very concerning, and it doesn’t really seem like he’s someone to count on at this point. Still, it’s not hopeless just yet. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:10 pm

    • Reynaldo López watches bullpen blow game in eighth
Reynaldo López yielded two runs in 6 1/3 innings versus the Padres to take a no-decision in the first game of Monday’s doubleheader.

Advice: López exited with a 5-1 lead in the seventh before one of his two inherited runners scored. That wasn’t bad, but then the Padres went on to score four runs off Joe Jiménez in the eighth to win the game. López still hasn’t allowed more than three runs in any start this season, but with the Braves not scoring like they did last year, his record stands at 2-1 after eight turns. • Dealing with triceps tightness
Senga (shoulder) did not throw a scheduled bullpen session Sunday due to right triceps tightness, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Senga had seemingly been making good progress recently as he works his way back from a right posterior shoulder capsule strain, but he's now encountered another speed bump. The hope is that he'll be ready to throw off the mound later this week, but the Mets will likely wait until the right-hander is pain-free before he resumes a throwing program. • Earns unconventional save
Romano picked up a save Sunday against Tampa Bay, striking out the only batter he faced during the 5-2 win.

Advice: Romano was pushed into the save chance after Zach Pop surrendered a two-run home run and then gave up a single to Richie Palacios with two outs in the ninth. Romano got Jonny DeLuca to go down swinging to close out the victory and notch his seventh save of the campaign. Across 11.0 innings, Romano owns a 4.91 ERA with one blown save and a 10:3 K:BB. • Jordan Romano nails down seventh save
Jordan Romano struck out the only batter he faced on Sunday to earn the save.

Advice: Romano came on for the last out of the game after Zach Pop allowed a two-run homer to Isaac Paredes and closed the door. Strikeouts have lagged for Romano since returning from the IL and his hold on the closer role could become shaky with Yimi Garcia’s breakout. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:42 pm

    • Eovaldi, Dunning throwing bullpens Sunday
Nathan Eovaldi (groin) is throwing a bullpen before Sunday’s game against the Angels.

Advice: Both Eovaldi and Dane Dunning will throw bullpen sessions of around 15-20 pitches before the game. Rangers manager Bruce Bochy told reporters that both hurlers will be evaluated after to determine their next steps. Texas has been decimated by injuries to their staff in 2024, and the return of Eovaldi in particular would be a major boon for the defending champions. A timetable for both starters should be made clearer in the coming days. Rotoworld Sunday, 9:34 am
