    • Yields run, earns save
Iglesias allowed a run in the ninth inning while picking up a save against Oakland on Friday.

Advice: Iglesias notched his 14th save of the year with a fascinating outing. He gave up a leadoff double to Zack Gelof before recording three outs on three consecutive pitches. Gelof would come in to score after two straight groundouts but Atlanta secured the 4-2 win. Iglesias has converted six straight save chances and owns a 2.53 ERA through 21.1 innings. • Racks up eight punchouts
Lopez (3-2) yielded a run on four hits and two walks over six innings Friday, striking out eight and earning a win over the Athletics.

Advice: Lopez worked around some trouble throughout the contest and turned in one of his best starts of the year. He recorded a season-high eight strikeouts with 16 whiffs, including nine with his slider. It was the first time he recorded more than five punchouts in a start since April 30. Lopez has produced six quality starts in 10 appearances, resulting in a 1.73 ERA through 57.1 frames. His next start is projected to be in Washington. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:47 pm
    • Reynaldo López holds A’s to one run in victory
Reynaldo López limited the A’s to one run in six innings and struck out eight in Atlanta’s 4-2 victory Friday.

Advice: Another quality start moves him to 3-2 with a 1.73 ERA. That López has had a very light schedule has played some role in his success to date. His 10 starts have seen him face none of the league’s top five offenses by OPS yet each of the bottom four (the Mariners, Pirates, Marlins and White Sox). He’s certainly been good and he might continue to be until he starts to run out of gas, but he’s had it awfully easy thus far. Rotoworld Friday, 7:25 pm
    • Raisel Iglesias earns 14th save against A’s
Raisel Iglesias picked up his 14th save despite giving up a run in the ninth Friday against the A’s.

Advice: Zack Gelof doubled to start the inning and came around to score on a pair of groundouts. Fortunately, Iglesias was working with a three-run lead, so this one was never really in doubt. He’s 14-for-16 saving games this season. Rotoworld Friday, 7:25 pm
    • Mets option Christian Scott to Triple-A on Friday
Mets option RHP Christian Scott to Triple-A Syracuse.

Advice: Scott complied a strong 3.90 ERA and 25/6 K/BB ratio across five starts for New York. The 24-year-old top pitching prospect is expected to return to the big leagues soon, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan. Scott’s time in the minors coincides with the Mets having extra days off after their series in London and allows the club to manage his innings total. Rotoworld Friday, 7:44 am

    • Heading to Triple-A
The Mets optioned Scott to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: The 24-year-old top prospect has pitched well in his first five big-league starts with a 3.90 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB across 27.2 innings, but with the Mets having three scheduled off days coming up surrounding their two-game series against the Phillies in London next weekend, they'll use the opportunity to limit Scott's innings in his third professional campaign. The 24-year-old right-hander should rejoin the big-league rotation later in the season. Rotowire.com Friday, 7:40 am

    • Tosses five frames in no-decision
Scott allowed two runs on four hits and one walk while striking out four batters over five innings in a no-decision against Arizona on Thursday.

Advice: Scott gave up a pair of third-inning runs but otherwise kept the Diamondbacks off the scoreboard. He got through only five frames, though, as he was pulled after throwing 91 pitches. The rookie right-hander continues to hold his own in the majors, as he's given up three or fewer earned runs in four of his five starts thus far. Collectively, he's posted a 3.90 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB through 27.2 innings. Rotowire.com Thursday, 11:13 pm

    • Christian Scott allows pair over five frames
Christian Scott went five innings and allowed two runs with four strikeouts in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Thursday.

Advice: Scott gave up four hits while issuing one walk. The two runs came on a double that scored a pair off the bat of Ketel Marte, and outside of that it was a strong outing for the 24-year-old rookie. Scott has held his own in his rookie campaign with a 3.90 ERA and 21/5 K/BB over 27 2/3 innings. He gets another chance to impress next week with a scheduled tilt against the Nationals. • Tagged with first blown save
Miller was charged with a blown save in Thursday's 6-5 loss to Tampa Bay in 12 innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on one hit and three walks over two innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Jose Siri's game-tying homer in the bottom of the ninth was the first given up by Miller this year while also resulting in his first blown save in 12 chances. Despite Thursday's hiccup, it's been an excellent start to the season for the 26-year-old Miller -- his ERA now sits at 2.08 with a 0.88 WHIP and 51 strikeouts, the most among qualified relief pitchers, through 26 innings.
