      Advice: The right-hander didn't let a baserunner get past second base as he delivered his seventh quality start of the season in 10 trips to the mound. Tuesday's outing was also the first time in 2024 that Ryan had issued multiple free passes.       Advice: Littell fared better against the Red Sox the second time around, holding them to three hits Tuesday after yielding seven hits and four runs to Boston in his last start. Though the 28-year-old did surrender a solo homer to Jarren Duran, he tied his season high in strikeouts and fewer than two batters for the sixth time in his last seven starts. Littell hasn't gone deeper than six innings this season but owns a 3.42 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP across 10 appearances. He's scheduled for a home start against the Athletics next Tuesday.       Advice: Musgrove appeared a bit rusty in his first start since May 1, ultimately needing 66 pitches to make it through three innings -- he'd allow a pair of unearned runs after an errant pickoff throw in the second. Overall, the 31-year-old Musgrove sports a 5.93 ERA with a 1.52 WHIP and 39:15 K:BB across nine starts (44 innings) this season.       Joe Musgrove allowed two runs (zero earned) on three hits in three innings in a loss to the Reds on Tuesday.

      Advice: The Padres said this start was just about getting Musgrove on the mound against live hitters after missing time with a triceps injury. The veteran’s velocity was in line with his season-long numbers, which is good in his first start off the IL, and he posted an impressive 35 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW in his three innings.
