      Advice: Walker told Steve Gilbert of MLB.com that he was not happy with how he was handling fastballs, so he put in extra work in the batting cage this week. It paid off immediately when Walker belted a three-run homer off a four-seamer in the first inning to give Arizona a 3-0 lead. "I've been missing fastballs [and fouling them] straight back a little bit and it's been bothering me," Walker said. He followed that up a solo shot in the third -- a slider this time.       Christian Walker plated four runs while homering twice in a blowout victory over the Angels on Thursday.

      Advice: Walker made it 3-0 Diamondbacks in the first inning with his roundtripper off Griffin Canning with a pair of runners on. His second homer of the game came in the third inning, and it traveled an estimated 464 feet. That’s fair.       Advice: Walker has gone 10-for-45 (.222) with two homers and eight RBI over 11 contests in June. The first baseman is up to 13 long balls, 42 RBI, 40 runs scored, 12 doubles, two stolen bases and a .255/.340/.458 slash line through 68 games this season. Walker's power is a bit down from the last two years, but that's at least partially due to bad luck -- entering Wednesday, he had a 50.0 percent hard-hit rate and a 15.1 percent barrel rate this season, up from 40.4 percent and 11.4 percent, respectively, in 2023.       Advice: Naylor had an RBI single and drove in another run with a fielder's choice in the contest. While his bat is still quiet in June -- he's gone 5-for-32 (.156) over eight games -- he's still driven in eight RBI this month.     • Josh Naylor has two hits, HR in win
      Josh Naylor went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in a win over the Reds on Tuesday.

      Advice: Naylor blooped in a 79 mph single in the third inning that scored a run, but he certainly got all of his home run in the eighth inning, hitting it 425 feet at 109 mph for his 17th home run on the season. The .224 batting average might not be what you were looking for but the power and 50 RBIs have been elite for Naylor this season. He may be sacrificing a bit of average for power, but he also came into this game with a .200 BABIP, which is well below his career mark of .283.       Naylor went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and a second run scored in Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Royals.

      Advice: Naylor was part of the Guardians' comeback push -- his fourth-inning homer cut the deficit to 5-3. After being one of the team's hottest hitters in April, the first baseman has hit .178 with a .719 OPS since the start of May. Naylor's power is still coming through with 16 homers, a .500 slugging percentage and a .271 ISO. He hasn't had a pronounced issue with strikeouts either, fanning at just a 16.2 percent rate while walking at a career-best 10.3 percent clip.
