      Advice: Crawford took Reid Detmers deep with the bases loaded in the fourth inning to put the Mariners up 5-0. The home run was his fourth of the season and second since coming off the injured list on May 20th. Seattle isn’t the best lineup, but Crawford regularly bats leadoff and has shown some pop recently.       Orioles 2B/SS prospect Jackson Holliday went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI on Friday for Triple-A Norfolk.

      Advice: Holliday is one of the few top fantasy prospects still healthy in the upper minors at the moment and he’s clearly benefitting from the extra seasoning in the upper minors following his early-season demotion, batting .263 with four homers and three steals in 30 games since April 27.     • Tommy Edman (wrist) takes BP left-handed Friday
      Tommy Edman (wrist) was able to take batting practice from the left side of the plate for the first time on Friday.

      Advice: Edman is already eligible to be activated from the 60-day injured list, but he’s still not close to being ready. The fact that he’s now able to face live pitching from both sides of the plate though is an encouraging sign and perhaps a minor league rehab assignment could be in the cards soon.       Edman (wrist) has been cleared to take batting practice from the left side of the plate, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

      Crawford went 0-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base in a loss to the Astros on Thursday.

      Advice: The veteran shortstop was one of only two Mariners to reach base multiple times on a quiet night for the team's offense. Crawford also snagged his first steal of the campaign and has reached safely in eight of 11 games since his return from the IL, but he still carries a paltry .208/.301/.328 slash line across 143 plate appearances for the season.       J.P. Crawford walked twice and stole a base on Thursday in the Mariners’ shutout loss at the hands of the Astros.

      Advice: Crawford also made one of the highlight reel-worthy defensive plays of the entire season in the seventh inning of this one, flipping the ball to double-play partner Dylan Moore to rob Mauricio Dubón of a surefire single up the middle.       Advice: Crawford provided one of two multi-hit efforts for the Mariners on the afternoon while hitting safely for the sixth time in the last seven starts. The veteran shortstop has been clicking at the plate since his return an IL stay from an oblique injury, producing a .296 average and .848 OPS across his last 30 plate appearances despite a 26.7 percent strikeout rate in the same span.       Advice: Crawford led off the contest with a 399-foot shot to center field, and that would ironically be the only run-producing offense of the night for Seattle.
