    • Following opener Tuesday
Wilson will pitch behind opener Hoby Milner against the Rangers on Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Wilson was scheduled to start Tuesday's contest but will instead follow a lefty opener. The right-hander has failed to last five frames in five of his past eight outings, so the strategy could improve his chances of qualifying for a victory. However, Wilson has a 5.68 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 28:16 K:BB during that eight-start stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 2:41 pm

    • Angels activate and option Chase Silseth
Angels activated RHP Chase Silseth from the 60-day injured list; optioned him to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Advice: Silseth has struggled in a handful of minor league rehab starts over the last few weeks and will get some additional time out of the spotlight in the minors to continue ironing things out. The 24-year-old showed some extremely promising signs during spring training, but struggled in a pair of early-season starts prior to landing on the shelf with elbow inflammation. • Brewers summon reliever Joel Kuhnel on Tuesday
Brewers selected the contract of RHP Joel Kuhnel from Triple-A Nashville.

Advice: Kuhnel will probably only be with Milwaukee for a couple days until veteran southpaw Dallas Keuchel reports following a trade from Seattle. The 29-year-old righty latched on with the Brewers earlier this month following his removal from Toronto’s 40-man roster. He’s made just one relief appearance this season in the big leagues, which was back in mid-April when he was with the Astros. Rotoworld Today, 2:28 pm
    • Contract selected
The Brewers selected Kuhnel's contract from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Kuhnel signed a minor-league deal with Milwaukee on June 11, and he'll now get another shot in the majors after giving up two earned runs while striking out eight batters and walking three through five innings with Nashville. Although the 29-year-old right-hander has found success in the minors this season across the three organizations he's been a part of, his 6.30 career ERA in the majors will likely limit him to low-leverage situations while with the Brewers. Carlos F. Rodriguez was optioned to Triple-A to clear space for Kuhnel on the active roster, and Robert Gasser (elbow) was moved to the 60-day IL to free up a 40-man spot. Rotowire.com Today, 2:22 pm
    • Phillies activate and option Yunior Marte to AAA
Phillies activated RHP Yunior Marte from the 15-day injured list; optioned him to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Advice: Marte will remain stationed in the minors as extra relief depth for Philadelphia after wrapping up an extended rehab assignment. The 29-year-old righty hit the injured list back in early May with right shoulder inflammation. Rotoworld Today, 2:17 pm

    • Back in big leagues
The Athletics recalled O'Loughlin from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Advice: The A's sent O'Loughlin to the minors June 9 after he had thrown seven shutout innings across three appearances out of the bullpen. He has since started two Triple-A games, allowing six earned runs in just 7.2 frames. He'll likely return to a multi-inning relief role while in Oakland, taking the place of Aaron Brooks on the MLB roster. Rotowire.com Today, 2:09 pm
    • A’s recall lefty Jack O’Loughlin on Tuesday
Athletics recalled LHP Jack O’Loughlin from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Advice: O’Loughlin provides Oakland’s bullpen with a fresh arm ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Angels. The 24-year-old lefty has hurled seven scoreless innings over three relief appearances this season in the big leagues. Rotoworld Today, 2:07 pm
    • Bullpen session later this week
Hendriks (elbow) is slated to throw a bullpen session later this week, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Advice: It will be his first time throwing off a mound since he underwent Tommy John surgery in early August of last year. Hendriks is hoping to join the Red Sox' relief corps at some point during the final two months of this season, and while that's possible, the bigger-picture goal is having him healthy and ready to roll as a member of Boston's 2025 bullpen. • Liam Hendriks (elbow) to throw bullpen this week
Liam Hendriks (elbow) will progress to throwing a bullpen session this week.

Advice: Hendriks will throw his first bullpen session since undergoing Tommy John surgery last August. The 35-year-old righty isn’t expected to be ready to contribute for Boston until the outset of next season, but this is a notable step forward in his lengthy rehabilitation process.
