    • Likely to hit IL
Grissom has a mild right hamstring strain and is expected to be placed on the injured list, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reported Saturday.

Advice: Grissom was removed from Saturday's game against the Tigers in the third inning after slowing up and grabbing his right hamstring running to first on a groundout. While it's not the same hamstring that sidelined him at the start of the year, Saturday's injury will likely require an IL stint. While Grissom is sidelined, expect Romy Gonzales, David Hamilton and Ceddane Rafaela to see plenty of work in the middle infield. Rotowire.com 12 minutes ago

    • Luis García Jr. collects two hits in loss Saturday
Luis García Jr. went 2-for-4 with a run scored against the Guardians on Saturday.

Advice: García Jr. knocked a base hit to lead off the second inning. He singled once again in the fourth and scored on a hit by Jesse Winker. The 24-year-old second baseman is on pace for a career year, hitting .279/.319/.424 with five homers, 26 RBI, and eight steals across 182 plate appearances. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago
    • Ben Lively earns fifth win Saturday vs. Nats
Ben Lively allowed two runs with four strikeouts across 5 2/3 innings in a win over the Nationals on Saturday.

Advice: Lively worked through three scoreless inning before the Nationals brought two runs in to score in the fourth. After walking a batter with one out, Tyler Freeman misplayed a routine fly ball to put runners on second and third with one out instead of two outs and a runner on first. A groundout and a base hit would bring the two runs in to score. Lively would work a clean fifth and gave up a base hit with two outs in the sixth. That would end his day at 86 pitches -- 62 for strikes. He struck out four. The 32-year-old right-hander will take a 2.84 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and a 47/15 K/BB ratio across 50 2/3 innings into a start against the Marlins in Miami on Friday. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

    • Mitchell Parker allows three runs in loss to Guardians
Mitchell Parker allowed three runs with five strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Guardians on Saturday.

Advice: Parker got into some trouble in the first inning, issuing two walks to load the bases before Kyle Manzardo brought two runners in to score on a single. José Ramirez would score a third run for the Guardians in the third inning on a wild pitch. Parker would pitch into the sixth without allowing another run, leaving with two outs and two runners on at 98 pitches. He struck out five on the day. The 24-year-old left-hander will take a 3.60 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and a 43/12 K/BB ratio across 50 innings into a home matchup against the Braves on Thursday. Rotoworld 19 minutes ago

    • Enmanuel Valdez slugs two homers in victory
Enmanuel Valdez went 3-for-4 with two homers, a double, three runs scored, and three RBI to lead the Red Sox to a 6-3 win over the Tigers on Saturday.

Advice: Valdez had an outstanding day at the plate on Saturday. He led off the second inning with a solo homer off Reese Olson to put the Red Sox on the board. A double to lead off the fourth put him in position to score once again on a sacrifice fly. Valdez got to Olson once again in the sixth with a two-run blast for his first career multi-homer game. The 25-year-old second baseman was recently recalled from Triple-A for some depth after Tyler O’Neill landed on the injured list, but isn’t likely to get regular playing time to make him relevant in most leagues. He’s slashing .179/.206/.358 with four homers and 14 RBI across 103 plate appearances. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago

    • Cooper Criswell holds Detroit to one run in win
Cooper Criswell allowed one run with five strikeouts over five innings in a win over the Tigers on Saturday.

Advice: A double and a base hit in the first inning put the Tigers on the board with one run. Criswell would settle in to give the Red Sox four more scoreless frames, scattering two more hits and a walk while striking out five batters. The 27-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 3.92 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and a 41/10 K/BB ratio across 43 2/3 innings. He’s in line for a start against the White Sox on Friday. Rotoworld 27 minutes ago

    • Faces hitters
Kershaw (shoulder) threw live batting practice before Saturday's game against the Rockies, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Saturday marks the first time Kershaw has faced live hitters after spending the past month throwing bullpen sessions, though he was only able to pitch one simulated inning. He will continue to build up his workload over his next several live BP sessions before heading out on a rehab assignment with one of the Dodgers' minor-league affiliates. Assuming the 36-year-old southpaw doesn't run into any setbacks, he appears in line to return to Los Angeles' rotation in approximately 4-to-6 weeks. Rotowire.com 33 minutes ago

    • Struck by comebacker
Ginkel was hit in the left leg by a comebacker during Saturday's game against the Mets and was removed from the game, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports. He threw one perfect inning before the incident.

Advice: Ginkel was the first arm out of the bullpen for the Diamondbacks on Saturday, replacing Slade Cecconi late in the fifth inning. The 30-year-old retired the first two batters he faced before getting hit by a 98 MPH comebacker from Brandon Nimmo, who was still thrown out at first. Bryce Jarvis replaced Ginkel on the mound.
