Arizona manager Torey Lovullo is considering giving Alexander more looks at third base, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Advice: With Geraldo Perdomo (knee) due back in the coming days, Lovullo is evaluating potential roster decisions to accommodate his return. Perdomo's pending return puts a focus on Alexander and Kevin Newman. Alexander, who made four appearances (two starts) at third base over the last 13 games, went 10-for-21 over a five-game hitting streak that ended Friday. At some point, the Diamondbacks may look for options to spell starting third baseman Eugenio Suarez, whose average dropped to .198 and is 2-for-23 over the last seven games. Rotowire.com 1 minute ago
    • Plays full game in field
Perdomo started at shortstop and went 0-for-4 for Triple-A Reno on Friday.

Advice: Perdomo played a third consecutive day for Reno and his first nine-inning game in the field. Including time spent in the Arizona Complex League, he's played six games and is 3-for-19. The Diamondbacks are considering roster options for Perdomo's pending return, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports. He'll slide back into his starting shortstop position, which puts the focus on Kevin Newman and Blaze Alexander. Rotowire.com 30 minutes ago

    • Cranks first career homer
Rocchio went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Marlins.

Advice: Rocchio's first career homer came in the third inning of his 77th game. That blast was all the offense the Guardians could put on the board in Friday's loss. The shortstop has held down a starting role this year, but he's posted a mediocre .213/.314/.287 slash line with 11 RBI, 27 runs scored, seven stolen bases and nine doubles over 192 plate appearances. • Two hits in return
Walls went 2-for-4 on Friday against the Orioles.

Advice: Walls made his season debut after missing the first two months while recovering from hip surgery. He hit seventh in the order and started at shortstop, shifting Jose Caballero to second base and Brandon Lowe to the bench with lefty Cole Irvin on the mound for the O's. It's unclear whether Walls will be able to earn much playing time against right-handed pitching. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:52 pm

    • Ryan Bliss collects first MLB homer in loss to KC
Ryan Bliss hit a two-run homer in a loss to the Royals on Friday.

Advice: Bliss absolutely clobbered a Daniel Lynch IV offering to left field in the first inning to give Seattle a 7-0 lead and Bliss his first ever MLB homer. The 24-year-old has hit just .188 thus far in the majors, but his .350 on-base percentage does show that he has been more than willing to reach via walk. There is some potential long-term fantasy upside in his right-handed bat. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:09 pm

    • Brayan Rocchio hits first major league homer
Brayan Rocchio supplied both Guardians runs with his first big-league homeer Friday in a loss to the Marlins.

Advice: The homer came in his 276th career plate appearance. He has 192 so far this year, and he’s driven in a total of 11 runs. On the plus side, his defensive numbers have improved in recent weeks, and thanks to a fine 12% walk ate, his .314 OBP isn’t dreadful. Still, it’s hard to see where the fantasy upside might come from here. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:13 pm
    • Correa has two more hits Friday
Carlos Correa went 2-for-3 against the Pirates on Friday.

Advice: It was a quiet night for the Twins offense as they were shutout by Mitch Keller and the Pittsburgh bullpen. Correa added two more hits to his ledger. He also hit second in the order, which is the spot ahead of Royce Lewis. Correa is no longer a star or even an All-Star, but he’s quietly having a nice season as long as he can continue to stay healthy. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:22 pm
    • Fielding, could hit Friday
Mateo (concussion) took ground balls Friday and could participate in batting practice, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Mateo was able to play catch Thursday and took another step forward in his rehab from a concussion he sustained June 2. The second baseman appears to be on track to return next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:53 pm

    • Marlins place Otto Lopez on paternity list
Marlins placed SS Otto Lopez on the paternity list.

Advice: Lopez will be away from the team for three days on paternity leave as he takes care of things much more important than baseball. Lopez is hitting .295 with three home runs in 95 at-bats with Miami this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:44 pm
