      Logan Webb pitched the Giants past the Rangers with seven innings of two-run ball on Friday.

      Advice: Webb’s peripherals aren’t up to par, but tonight will help. He struck out six while walking none, and all five hits he allowed should have been singles (Wyatt Langford turned one into a double with his speed).       Crochet (5-4) yielded two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks over six innings Friday, striking out 10 and earning a win over the Red Sox.

      Advice: Crochet gave up a pair of runs in the third inning but only one was earned due to his own throwing error. He's produced quality starts in four straight appearances and six of his last seven. Crochet generated 17 whiffs and racked up double-digit strikeouts for the fourth time this season. Since April 29, he's produced a ridiculous 1.37 ERA with a 63:9 K:BB in eight starts. Crochet will carry a 3.33 ERA into his next start, which is expected to be in Seattle next week.     • Garrett Crochet fans 10 as White Sox snap skid
      Garrett Crochet yielded two runs — one earned — and struck out 10 in six innings as the White Sox defeated the Red Sox 7-2 to snap a 14-game losing streak.

      Advice: The White Sox’s previous win also, not coincidentally, came in a Crochet start on May 21. He has six of the White Sox’s 16 victories on the year.       Webb (5-5) allowed two runs on five hits over seven innings Friday, striking out six and earning a win over the Rangers.

      Advice: Webb kept Texas off the board for four frames before the Rangers plated two runs in the fifth inning. Outside of that inning, he allowed just one baserunner. Webb threw seven innings in his last outing but saw his streak of four straight quality starts come to an end. With Friday's quality start in the books, he has 10 in his 14 appearances this season.       Bradish will start Saturday's game against Tampa Bay, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

      Advice: The Orioles' original schedule would have placed Bradish on the mound Thursday against Toronto but he'll get two extra days of rest before taking on the Rays at Tropicana Field. Manager Brandon Hyde said Thursday that Bradish's start wasn't pushed back due to health concerns, so he should be a full go Saturday.       DeGrom (elbow) is slated to throw his first bullpen session since last June's Tommy John surgery during the Rangers' June 17-23 homestand, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.

      Advice: DeGrom resumed flat-ground throwing Wednesday following a scheduled de-loading period as he continues his rehab from a second Tommy John operation. The right-hander has hit all the necessary markers in his recovery so far but has many more to go.       Woo (3-0) picked up the win Thursday, allowing two hits and no walks with six strikeouts across six scoreless innings against Oakland.

      Advice: Woo threw a season-high 85 pitches Thursday, an encouraging sign for the 24-year-old after he missed all of April with elbow inflammation and exited his first start after his IL stint with forearm tightness. Even with a restricted pitch count, the right-hander has generated four consecutive quality starts and has fired 12 straight scoreless innings, giving him a 1.07 ERA and 24:2 K:BB through 33.2 innings.       Holmes earned a save against the Twins on Thursday, allowing one hit and striking out one batter in a scoreless inning.

      Advice: Holmes gave up a one-out single after entering the game in the ninth frame, but that's all Minnesota managed against him. The talented closer has held opponents without an earned run in 27 of his 28 appearances this season, resulting in an excellent 1.32 ERA.
