      Advice: Guerrero was 1-for-17 (.059) with one walk in his last five games. While the three hits were good to see, his power is still a concern. Guerrero’s .122 ISO is a career-low and with seven home runs so far he’s going to have to pick up the pace to even repeat the 26 home runs he hit last season.

      Advice: Merrill produced the only Padres run with a solo shot to center field in the fifth inning. The rookie has homered in three straight contests, belting four total long balls over that span. Merrill has also notched at least one hit in nine of his past 10 games and is batting .351 (13-for-37) with eight extra-base hits, six RBI, seven runs and two steals during that stretch.       Advice: Soto recently battled a forearm injury, and that may have been bothering him during an eight-game stretch without a homer. He also walked multiple times for the sixth time in 11 contests in June. The outfielder continues to put up superstar numbers with 18 homers, 55 RBI, 58 runs scored, four stolen bases and a .319/.435/.599 slash line over 70 games this season.       Advice: Semien got the Rangers on the board with an RBI double in the fifth inning and added a two-out, two-run single in the ninth, but the comeback fell short. This was his third multi-hit effort in June, though it was his first since June 3. The second baseman is slashing .265/.330/.438 with 11 home runs, 40 RBI, 50 runs scored and three stolen bases over 69 contests this season.       Juan Soto blasted his 18th home run of the season on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to power the Yankees past the Red Sox in Boston.

      Advice: Soto victimized Justin Slaten for his 392-foot (105.1 mph EV) solo shot in the seventh inning that pulled the Bombers to within two runs at 5-3. He also drew a pair of walks in the contest, finishing the evening 1-for-3 officially.       Marcus Semien went 3-for-4 with three RBI in a loss to the Mariners on Saturday.

      Advice: Semien got the Rangers on the board with an RBI double off George Kirby to make it 4-1 Mariners. In the top of the ninth, the star second baseman drove in two more, but the Rangers still trailed 7-5 after that one.       Jackson Merrill went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a loss to the Mets on Saturday.

      Advice: Merrill launched a 411-foot blast against Jose Quintana for his seventh home run of the season. The rookie now has four home runs in his last three games. All of them have also been solo shots. Merrill was billed as primarily a batting average asset who wouldn’t provide much power, so it’s nice to see him starting to show some pop.
