      Lugo (9-2) took the loss to the Yankees on Monday, allowing four runs on eight hits and one walk with four strikeouts over seven innings.

      Advice: Lugo had two rough innings, surrendering three hits and two runs in both the first and fourth frames. While all eight hits allowed in the game were singles, he only generated seven swinging strikes on 101 pitches. Lugo has now given up nine runs combined in two June starts after only yielding nine in the entire month of May, but his opponents in those two outings currently rank second and seventh in runs scored this season.       Advice: Lugo gave up eight hits, walked one and struck out four. His ERA is now 2.36 on the season. Lugo’s xFIP is much higher at 3.93 and we might be approaching a conversation about what realistic expectations look like for Lugo the rest of the way. He continues to eat innings, but it’s worth noting that before last season when he made a career-high 26 starts, he was primarily used as a reliever throughout his career. The 34-year-old right-hander is set to face the Dodgers on the road this weekend.

      Eovaldi (3-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk over seven innings against the Giants. He struck out five.

      Advice: Eovaldi was staked to a 5-0 lead after two innings and cruised through seven, merely allowing single runs in each of the third and fourth innings as he rolled to his third victory. More importantly, he was also extended to near his full workload, completing seven innings on 90 pitches after tossing 37 and 71 in his previous two starts following a nearly four-week stint on the IL with a groin injury. It was the seventh start out of 10 for Eovaldi with at least five innings while allowing two or fewer runs. He'll carry a 2.68 ERA and 1.09 WHIP into his next start, likely to take place next weekend when the Rangers travel to Seattle for a showdown against the Mariners.       Advice: Eovaldi also struck out five and walked one on the day. He pounded the zone regularly on the day with a 37 percent CSW and 24 percent whiff rate and his only real mistake was a solo home run to Mike Yastrzemski.       Advice: Cortes gave up a pair of solo homers among the seven total hits Los Angeles tallied against him, and the four runs he yielded tied a season-high mark. The lefty hurler did at least manage to keep New York within striking range -- though the game ended in a blowout, most of the Dodgers' damage came after Cortes' departure. Cortes is hanging onto a respectable 3.68 ERA on the season, though his current 8.7 K/9 is on pace for his lowest mark since a four-appearance cup of coffee as a rookie in 2018.       Advice: Cortes gave up two homers, one to Teoscar Hernandez and another to Enrique Hernandez (note: no relation). The left-hander continues to pitch at an inconsistent level, but his 3.68 ERA and 1.12 WHIP help tell the story that there’s been more better than bitter.       Suarez (10-1) earned the win Saturday over the Mets in London, allowing two runs on eight hits and a walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: It wasn't Suarez's most dominant outing (the eight hits allowed were a season high), though he managed to limit the damage en route to his league-leading 10th win. It's encouraging to see Suarez make a successful return to the mound after he was struck in the pitching hand by a line drive in his last start, forcing him out of the game after two innings. Overall, the 28-year-old southpaw sports a pristine 1.81 ERA with a 0.85 WHIP and 85:17 K:BB across 79.2 innings this year.
