      Josh Lowe (oblique) went 2-for-4 with a run scored on Friday for Triple-A Durham.

      Advice: There’s some buzz that Lowe will be ready to return to Tampa Bay early next week, but he’s going to get in at least a couple additional rehab contests this weekend for Triple-A Durham.       Edouard Julien was lifted for a pinch-hitter after going 0-for-2 against the Astros on Friday.

      Advice: A demotion to Triple-A for Julien is very much a possibility as the countermove for when Royce Lewis rejoins the Twins. He’s still very likely Minnesota’s long-term second baseman, but he’s not currently getting the job done while hitting .205/.305/.367. Willi Castro could slide to second in his place.       Wacha was wearing a walking boot on his left foot following Friday's loss to the Padres, Pete Grathoff of The Kansas City Star reports.

      Advice: Wacha took a 90-mph line drive off his left foot during the first at-bat of Friday's contest. He was able to remain in the game and pitch 5.1 innings of two-run ball while logging two strikeouts, but it definitely seems like his shot to the foot bothered him. The 32-year-old right-hander said after the game that he will undergo imaging Saturday, at which point he and the Royals will have a better idea of how severe the damage is.       Sears (4-4) allowed four runs on six hits and two walks over seven innings Friday, striking out five and taking a loss against Atlanta.

      Advice: Sears allowed three runs through two innings but settled in to give Oakland a decent outing. It wasn't enough as the A's were limited to two runs in the loss. Sears has given up four runs in three of his last five starts, resulting in. 4.18 ERA during that span. He generated 14 whiffs Friday, his best total since recording a season-high 16 on April 27.       Iglesias allowed a run in the ninth inning while picking up a save against Oakland on Friday.

      Advice: Iglesias notched his 14th save of the year with a fascinating outing. He gave up a leadoff double to Zach Gelof before recording three outs on three consecutive pitches. Gelof would come in to score after two straight groundouts but Atlanta secured the 4-2 win. Iglesias has converted six straight save chances and owns a 2.53 ERA through 21.1 innings.       Michael Wacha was seen in a walking boot in the Royals’ clubhouse following Friday night’s start against the Padres.

      Advice: Wacha was hit in the foot by a line drive by the very first batter during Friday’s start. He wound up staying in the game and giving up just two runs over 5 1/3 innings of work, but was sore after the game. The right-hander told reporters after the game that he’ll get some scans done on Saturday to see if any damage was done, but that he’s hoping for good news.       Nola (7-2) earned the win Friday over the Cardinals, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: It was another strong outing from Nola, who held St. Louis to a pair of solo home runs in a winning effort. The 30-year-old right-hander has held opponents to two runs or fewer in each of his last four outings. Nola's ERA now sits at 3.03 on the year with a 1.03 WHIP and 71:22 K:BB across 12 starts (77.1 innings).       Raisel Iglesias picked up his 14th save despite giving up a run in the ninth Friday against the A’s.
