    • Kicks off rehab assignment
Jones (back) began a rehab assignment at Triple-A Albuquerque on Wednesday and went 0-for-3 with a strikeout and an RBI.

Advice: Jones received three plate appearances and played five innings in left field in his first game action since he landed on the 10-day injured list in late April with a low-back strain. He shouldn't need too many rehab games before being activated since he hasn't been sidelined for an extended period, but the Rockies haven't provided a firm target date for his return to the big club. The 26-year-old has slashed a disappointing .170/.243/.277 with one home run and two stolen bases over 103 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:16 am

    • Drives in four
Contreras went 3-for-5 with a home run, a triple and four total RBI in Wednesday's 10-2 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Contreras got Milwaukee on the board with a three-run, opposite-field blast off Martin Perez in the third inning before tacking on a fourth RBI with a triple in the sixth, his first three-bagger this season. While Contreras had gone 18 games without a home run, he's now recorded at least one hit in nine straight contests, going 17-for-36 (.472) in that span. The 26-year-old catcher is now slashing a robust .359/.434/.553 with six homers, 34 RBI, 39 runs scored and three stolen bases through 196 plate appearances this season. • Maikel Garcia getting a night off on Wednesday
Maikel Garcia is absent from the Royals’ starting lineup for Wednesday evening’s matchup against the Mariners.

Advice: The 24-year-old infielder has been scuffling a bit at the plate as of late, so perhaps a day off to clear his head will do him some good. On the season, he’s slashing .239/.288/.369 with four homers, 25 RBI and 10 stolen bases through his first 43 games. Adam Frazier will start at the hot corner and hit leadoff against Bryan Woo and the Mariners on Wednesday night in Seattle. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:00 pm

    • William Contreras homers, Brewers demolish Pirates
William Contreras went 3-for-5 with a three-run homer and four RBI on Wednesday, leading the Brewers to a decisive 10-2 victory over the Pirates.

Advice: Contreras is rapidly evolving into one of the premier four-category contributors in the entire fantasy landscape as his latest three-hit performance, his sixth of the season, raises his batting average to an astronomical .359 mark through 43 contests. The 26-year-old backstop crushed a three-run homer off Pirates southpaw Martín Pérez in the third inning and also added an RBI triple a couple frames later as Milwaukee hit five homers in a blowout victory. He’s up to 39 runs scored and 34 homers already to go along with six homers and three steals as well. There isn’t much left to say at this point besides legitimately asking if he’s going to surpass Orioles superstar Adley Rutschman as the consensus top catcher in fantasy at some point in the future. • Rare day off Wednesday
Garcia is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: Garcia's only other day off this season came in the second game of a doubleheader. He will give way to Adam Frazier on Wednesday, both at third base and in the leadoff spot. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:47 am

    • Getting Wednesday off
Turang is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: The Brewers are facing left-hander Martin Perez in a day game after a night game, so manager Pat Murphy likely viewed Wednesday's contest as an opportune time to give the lefty-hitting Turang a breather. Turang had batted out of the leadoff spot in each of the last seven games, going 8-for-27 (.296 average) with two stolen bases, three RBI and three runs. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:46 am

    • Riley Greene sits, Kerry Carpenter starts vs. LHP
Riley Greene is getting a scheduled day off Wednesday, with Kerry Carpenter starting in right field against a lefty.

Advice: It’s the first time all season that Carpenter has been in the lineup against a southpaw and only the second time Greene has been rested. As great as Greene has been against righties this season, he’s hitting a mere .189/.268/.378 against southpaws, Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:30 am

    • Getting Wednesday off
Greene is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: Greene has started each of the Tigers' last 22 games and appears to be getting a breather as Detroit wraps up its series against the Marlins with a day game. Matt Vierling will pick up a start in left field in place of Greene, who hit .135/.200/.243 with 13 strikeouts over his last nine starts. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:06 am

    • Fans six in no-decision
Civale came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 5-4 extra-innings loss to the Red Sox, giving up three runs on five hits over five innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

Advice: The right-hander kept Boston off the board his first time through the order, but a two-run double by Dominic Smith in the fourth inning and a solo shot by Ceddanne Rafaela in the fifth sent Civale packing after 76 pitches (53 strikes). He's failed to last more than five innings in any of his last five starts, a stretch in which he's stumbled to an 8.87 ERA and 1.71 WHIP, and his rotation spot could be in jeopardy if he doesn't turn things around by the time Ryan Pepiot (leg) and Shane Baz (elbow) are ready to rejoin the team. Civale lines up to make his next start on the road this weekend in Toronto. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:49 am
