    • Knocks fourth homer
Friedl went 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Brewers.

Advice: Friedl opened the game's scoring with his solo shot in the third inning. He singled and scored in the fifth and knocked in a run during the sixth. Friedl has four home runs this season, all coming over his last 11 games. During that stretch, he's hitting .309 with 12 RBI despite collecting multiple hits only twice. Friedl is slashing .247/.353/.438 through 85 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:18 pm
    • Nolan Jones (back, knee) rejoins Rockies on Friday
Rockies activated OF Nolan Jones from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: The dynamic 26-year-old has been sidelined since April 29 due to back and knee issues, but is finally ready to return to the Rockies’ lineup. Prior to landing on the injured list, he was hitting a paltry .170/.243/.277 with one homer, seven RBI and a pair of stolen bases through his first 26 ballgames. Jones will start in left field and bat fifth against Carmen Mlodzinski and the Pirates on Friday evening at Coors Field. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:57 pm
    • Reinstated from IL
Jones (knee) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Friday.

Advice: Jones landed on the injured list April 30 due to back stiffness. His initial rehab assignment was halted May 21 due to right knee soreness stemming from a slide, but he was able to resume activities June 3. Across his 12 rehab games with Triple-A Albuquerque, Jones went 9-for-42 with six runs, one home run and six RBI. He is starting in left field and batting fifth for Friday's game against the Pirates. To make room for Jones, Colorado placed Elias Diaz on the 10-day IL with a left calf strain, retroactive to June 11. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:32 pm
    • Good to go Friday
Arenado (hand) is starting at third base and batting cleanup Friday against the Cubs, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Advice: The 33-year-old had X-rays come back negative on his right hand after being hit by a pitch Thursday, and he's apparently fine given he's back in the lineup a day later. Arenado is 8-for-20 with two doubles and two RBI in his past five games, and he has a .273/.340/.386 slash line through 12 contests in June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:33 am
    • Rips walk-off double
Garcia went 1-for-4 with a double, two RBI, a run and walk in Thursday's 4-3 win versus the Yankees.

Advice: Garcia came up with two on and two out in the ninth and took a Clay Holmes sinker down the left-field line to win it for Kansas City. The 24-year-old third baseman entered the game in a bit of a slump during June with just one RBI and a .159 average in 40 at-bats. Garcia continues to provide a spark for the Royals this season with his solid counting stats, as he now has 18 extra-base hits and 38 RBI with 16 stolen bases through 68 games. • X-rays negative on Nolan Arenado’s right hand
X-rays came back negative on Nolan Arenado’s right hand.

Advice: Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol told reporters Arenado is day-to-day with a bone bruise in his right hand. The 33-year-old third baseman, who finished 0-for-4 on Thursday afternoon, appears to have avoided serious injury after being hit by a pitch on the back of his right hand while striking out swinging during his final at-bat. He might require a couple games off to let the pain and swelling subside, but it doesn’t appear he’s facing an extended absence. Rotoworld Thursday, 2:45 pm
    • X-rays on hand negative
X-rays on Arenado's right hand game back negative after he was hit by a pitch during Thursday's win over Pittsburgh, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Advice: Arenado struck out swinging on a pitch that hit him in the hand during the eighth inning. He immediately headed back into the Cardinals' clubhouse to get checked out, but manager Oliver Marmol said Arenado simply suffered a bone bruise and is considered day-to-day. The 33-year-old is slashing .273/.340/.386 with a home run and five RBI since the beginning of June. Rotowire.com Thursday, 2:28 pm
    • Maikel Garcia delivers game-winner for Royals
Maikel Garcia delivered a two-run double with two outs in the ninth to give the Royals a 4-3 win over the Yankees on Thursday.

Advice: Garcia hasn’t hit quite as well as we expected, but he has 38 RBI anyway, mostly because his average is over 100 points higher with runners on than with the bases empty. Between that, his 45 runs scored in the leadoff spot and his 16 steals, he’s been an odd, three-category wonder so far. Rotoworld Thursday, 2:27 pm

    • Nolan Arenado leaves game after being hit by pitch
Nolan Arenado made an early exit from Thursday’s game against the Pirates after being hit by a pitch.

Advice: Arenado was hit by a pitch on the right hand while striking out in the bottom of the eighth inning and appeared to leave the contest afterwards. However, it’s difficult to confirm since he was in the lineup at designated hitter in this one. There should be an update on his status. He was 0-for-4 with a strikeout prior to leaving.
