His initial rehab assignment was halted May 21 due to right knee soreness stemming from a slide, but he was able to resume activities June 3. Across his 12 rehab games with Triple-A Albuquerque, Jones went 9-for-42 with six runs, one home run and six RBI. He is starting in left field and batting fifth for Friday's game against the Pirates.       Advice: Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol told reporters Arenado is day-to-day with a bone bruise in his right hand. The 33-year-old third baseman, who finished 0-for-4 on Thursday afternoon, appears to have avoided serious injury after being hit by a pitch on the back of his right hand while striking out swinging during his final at-bat.       Advice: Arenado was hit by a pitch on the right hand while striking out in the bottom of the eighth inning and appeared to leave the contest afterwards.
