    • Mashes another homer
Santander went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday's 6-3 win over the Rays.

Advice: Santander's slow start to the season stood out compared to most of the rest of the Orioles, but he's warmed up significantly. Over his last 15 games, the outfielder is hitting .291 (16-for-55) with six homers and 11 RBI. He's homered in four of his last seven contests and now has a .227/.306/.472 slash line with 13 long balls, 36 RBI, 33 runs scored and no stolen bases over 58 games this season. • Ramping up activity
Polanco (hamstring) has been ramping up baseball activities but will require a minor-league rehab assignment before activation, MLB.com reports.

Advice: The veteran infielder took full infield pregame practice during the Mariners' three-game road trip in Oakland earlier in the week, and there were no reported setbacks. However, manager Scott Servais confirmed before Friday's series opener against the Royals that Polanco would require at least a brief rehab assignment, which would likely unfold at Triple-A Tacoma in coming days. • Escapes with 13th save
Diaz gave up a run on a hit and a walk in the ninth inning Friday, recording his 13th save of the season in a 3-2 win over the Cubs. He struck out one.

Advice: The right-hander made things difficult once again, issuing a free pass with two outs before a Miguel Amaya double brought the tying run to the plate. Diaz was able to strike out Patrick Wisdom to end the game, however. Diaz has walked a batter in four straight appearances, but he's successfully converted six straight save chances. On the season, he carries a rough 5.55 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 27:18 K:BB through 24.1 innings, but for now the Reds are willing to let him work through his control issues. Rotowire.com Today, 6:30 am
    • Dips below .200
Suarez went 0-for-4 in Friday's 10-3 loss to San Diego and is batting .198 through 63 games.

Advice: Suarez's season-opening slump continued into the month of June; he's 2-for-23 (.087) over seven games this month and dipped below .200 for the first time. He remains fourth on the team with 28 RBI, production that helped mask his slump over the first month and a half, but Suarez delivered just five runs over the last 22 contests, and his .582 OPS has gotten harder to ignore. • Bo Bichette collects RBI in loss to Athletics
Bo Bichette went 2-for-4 with an RBI on Friday in the Blue Jays’ loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Bichette got Toronto on the scoreboard in the seventh inning with a run-scoring single off Athletics reliever Austin Adams following a leadoff double from Vladimir Guerrero Jr. The 26-year-old shortstop has struggled this season to a lackluster .238 batting average to go along with just 19 runs scored, four homers, 26 RBI and four steals across 60 contests. • Knocked around in no-decision
Lynn did not factor into the decision in Friday's 8-5 win over the Rockies, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Lynn entered this start on a roll, tossing a 0.56 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB over 16 innings in his last three starts, but couldn't control a shaky Colorado lineup. This marks the fifth time the 37-year-old veteran has allowed four earned runs in an outing this year. His ERA now stands at 3.58 with a 1.38 WHIP in 65.1 innings. Lynn is scheduled to make his next start at home against Pittsburgh. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:00 pm

    • Lance Lynn gives up four over four in no-decision
Lance Lynn was charged for four runs in four innings in a no-decision Friday against the Rockies.

Advice: All four runs came in the fourth inning, and all on the same play. With the bases loaded, Lynn allowed a three-run triple to Michael Toglia, and Toglia picked up a Little League grand slam as he scored on an error. Lynn struck out six and walked two in a mediocre — at best — effort Friday night. His next start comes Thursday against the Pirates, assuming the rotation order stays the same. • Sale strikes out 10 in loss to Nationals Friday
Chris Sale allowed two runs in seven innings and took the loss against the Nationals on Friday.

Advice: Sale gave up five hits, walked one and struck out 10. It was an impressive bounce back performance after he allowed eight runs in his last start. Sale has been tremendous at times this season. While he has a 3.01 ERA on the year, his xFIP is even better at 2.43. The 35-year-old left-hander is set to face the Orioles on the road next week. • Santander crushes 13th home run in win Friday
Anthony Santander went 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run against the Rays on Friday.

Advice: The home run was Santander’s 13th of the season and came against Rays starter Aaron Civale. While his average is a little lower than he’d like it to be this year at .227, the power is still there for Santander. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:50 pm
