He gave up back-to-back solo shots to Fernando Tatis and Jurickson Profar in the first inning and also yielded a two-run blast to Ha-Seong Kim in the sixth. This was the third start in a row where Pfaadt has given up four or more runs. He's now at a 4.60 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 76:15 K:BB through 78.1 innings across 13 starts.       Advice: King wasn't all that efficient, needing 98 pitches (63 strikes) to get through five games, but that's the only knock on his performance. He's been excellent over his last three starts, allowing just two runs on 11 hits and four walks with 16 strikeouts over his last 17 innings. King is at a 3.58 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 83:32 K:BB through 78 innings across 14 appearances (13 starts).       Aaron Nola fired seven shutout innings on Wednesday in a win over the Brewers.

      Advice: Nola scattered a pair of hits and recorded five strikeouts on Wednesday afternoon at Citizens Bank Park, combining with relievers Jeff Hoffman and José Alvarado on a three-hit shutout. The 31-year-old righty has been a model of consistency over the last few weeks, allowing two earned runs or fewer in five consecutive starts since May 14. He’ll carry a strong 2.77 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 76/22 K/BB ratio across 84 1/3 innings (13 starts) into a road tilt next Thursday against the Red Sox at historic Fenway Park.       Nola (8-2) picked up the win Wednesday, scattering two hits over seven scoreless innings in a 2-0 victory over the Brewers. He struck out five without walking a batter.

      Advice: The veteran right-hander was dominant as he delivered his fourth straight quality start and eighth of the season, firing 68 of 93 pitches for strikes.       Luzardo (2-5) took the loss Tuesday against the Rays, allowing nine runs on nine hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out two.

      Advice: Luzardo got off to a solid start Tuesday, holding Tampa scoreless through his first three innings. However, he'd surrender four runs in the fourth, including three on a Brandon Lowe homer, before the Rays would proceed to put up a five-spot in the fifth. It was a career-worst outing for Luzardo, who came into the day with a 1.99 ERA over his previous five starts. His season ERA shot up from 4.18 to 5.30 with a 1.25 WHIP and 52:18 K:BB across 56 innings this season.       Jesús Luzardo allowed nine runs on nine hits in 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Rays on Tuesday.

      Advice: Luzardo was scoreless for the first three innings and then the wheels fell off, allowing nine earned runs while only getting four more outs. On the day, he allowed only three extra-base hits but 11 hard-hit baseballs, and the average exit velocity against him was 94 mph. It’s been a tough year for the 26-year-old, who has a 5.30 ERA but remains perhaps the top starting pitcher on the trade market. That market just may not be as enthusiastic as it was over the winter.       Tyler Glasnow allowed one run on three hits over six innings in a loss to the Pirates on Tuesday.

      Advice: Glasnow allowed a solo home run to Jack Suwinski in the third inning and that was all the Pirates needed to earn a win behind a strong performance from Jared Jones. Glasnow was also great on Tuesday with two walks, nine strikeouts, and 13 whiffs on 40 swings for a 33 percent whiff rate and 35 percent CSW.       Glasnow (6-4) was stuck with the loss Tuesday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks while striking out nine over six innings.

      Advice: Jack Suwinski's solo home run in the third inning was the lone tally against Glasnow, though it proved to be enough to leave him with the loss in a 1-0 shutout defeat. Still, it was another strong outing from the 30-year-old Glasnow, who now has eight or more strikeouts in seven of his last eight starts. His ERA is down to 2.93 on the year with a 0.90 WHIP and a league-leading 104 strikeouts through 13 starts (80 innings).       Rodriguez (6-2) picked up the win Monday against Toronto, allowing two runs (one earned) on seven hits and zero walks while striking out four over 6.2 innings.

      Advice: The only earned run allowed by Rodriguez was a solo home run by Vladimir Guerrero in the fourth inning. The 24-year-old set a new season-best with 6.2 innings pitched Monday, turning in his fifth quality start of the season. Rodriguez has found his groove over his past five starts -- in that span, the right-hander owns a 2.16 ERA and 31:12 K:BB in 29.1 innings.
