    Perez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-1 win over the Marlins.

    Advice: Perez had gone 0-for-14 over his previous four games, and he'd gone seven contests without an extra-base hit. Both droughts ended when the catcher went back-to-back with Vinnie Pasquantino in the fourth inning, with Perez's homer serving as the decisive run. A poor June -- 11-for-57 (.157) over 20 games -- has taken some of the shine off of what was a strong start to the year for Perez.     Garver went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Rays on Monday.

    Advice: Garver's seventh-inning, 400-foot shot to left with Dominic Canzone aboard snapped a 1-1 tie and gave the Mariners their final two runs of the night. The round tripper snapped a brief 0-for-12 skid that had encompassed Garver's last three-plus games, and it marked the veteran's fourth time leaving the yard in the last 15 contests. Garver is carrying a forgettable .200 average across his 75 plate appearances in June, but an 18.7 percent walk rate and nine extra-base hits have helped him to an impressive .830 OPS in that same span.     Kelly went 2-for-3 with an RBI in Monday's 8-1 loss to the Phillies.

    Advice: Detroit sputtered on the mound and at the plate, but Kelly still had a solid performance. The backstop was making his first appearance in three days, pushing Jake Rogers to the bench in the process. Kelly and Rogers are splitting time behind the plate fairly evenly so far this season, though Kelly has been the better offensive option overall with a .711 OPS, compared to just .603 for Rogers.     Advice: Perez’ home run was his 11th of the season and second in the month of June. Perez has cooled off this month. He’s 11-for-70 (.157) in June with two home runs and five RBI.     Advice: The aptly named “Big Dumper” isn’t exactly known for his stolen base prowess, but he’s flashes strong instincts on the bases throughout his career, and is now up to three thefts on the year. He connected for a fourth-inning solo shot off Rays starter Taj Bradley for his 13th long ball of the year.
