• Claimed by Jays
The Blue Jays claimed Cuas off waivers from the Cubs on Sunday and optioned him to Triple-A Buffalo.

Advice: Cuas was jettisoned off Chicago's 40-man roster last week after posting a 7.43 ERA and 1.65 WHIP through 13.1 innings in the big leagues. His Triple-A numbers haven't been much better (6.35 ERA, 1.68 WHIP), and while he will reclaim a 40-man roster spot upon joining his new organization, the 29-year-old righty surely has plenty of work to do in Buffalo before the Blue Jays can consider adding him to their MLB bullpen. • Sitting third straight
Kepler (neck) isn't in the Twins' lineup for Sunday's game against Oakland.

Advice: Neck spasms will cause Kepler to miss his third game in a row Sunday, though he still doesn't seem to be trending toward a trip to the injured list. Manuel Margot will pick up another start in right field and bat leadoff. Rotowire.com Today, 11:25 am

  • Sitting against lefty
Larnach isn't in the Twins' lineup for Sunday's game versus the Athletics.

Advice: Larnach and his career .569 OPS against lefties will take a seat Sunday against left-handed starter Hogan Harris. Willi Castro will fill the opening in left field while Kyle Farmer starts at the keystone, batting eighth. Rotowire.com Today, 11:22 am
  • Out of Sunday's lineup
Jeffers isn't in the Twins' lineup for Sunday's game against Oakland.

Advice: Jeffers has alternated starts behind the plate with Christian Vazquez for most of June, and Sunday will simply mark Vazquez's turn to serve as Minnesota's catcher while batting ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 11:18 am
  • Max Kepler out third straight game with neck issue
Max Kepler (neck) remains out of the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Athletics.

Advice: Kepler will sit out his third straight contest on Sunday afternoon due to an ongoing neck issue. There’s been zero indication that he’ll wind up requiring a trip to the injured list, but we’re not willing to rule it out. Rotoworld Today, 9:54 am

  • Yimi García (elbow) resumes throwing on Saturday
Yimi García (elbow) resumed throwing on Saturday.

Advice: With Jordan Romano’s throwing program shut down earlier this week due to renewed elbow soreness, it’s imperative that Toronto get García back as quickly as possible, especially if they’re going to stay in the playoff race leading up to the trade deadline. It’ll be Chad Green continuing to close for the Blue Jays, but it doesn’t seem like García is more than a few weeks, if that, away from making it back. Rotoworld Today, 9:34 am
  • Idle versus lefty
Dahl isn't in the Phillies' lineup Saturday against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: With left-hander Tommy Henry set to toe the slab for Arizona, the left-handed bat of Dahl will step out of the lineup Saturday. Kyle Schwarber will fill in as Philly's left fielder, moving Alec Bohm into the DH spot while Edmundo Sosa starts at third base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:02 am

  • Max Kepler (neck) not in Saturday’s lineup vs. A’s
Max Kepler (neck) remains out of the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Athletics.

Advice: Kepler will sit out his second straight contest on Saturday afternoon due to neck spasms, but there’s no indication that he’s looking at a trip to the injured list. The 31-year-old corner outfielder’s neck locked up on him during the early stages of Thursday’s game against the Rays and he’s probably going to need a couple days off to rest. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:45 am

  • Athletics lose Abraham Toro (hamstring) to IL
Athletics placed INF Abraham Toro on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain.

Advice: It’s a tough break for Toro, who has done a nice job this season for Oakland, batting .260/.303/.386 with six homers and three steals in 295 plate appearances over 73 games. The 27-year-old infielder is going to wind up missing at least a few weeks, even if it’s only a low-grade hamstring strain. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:21 am
