    • Breather Saturday
Diaz is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus the Twins.

Advice: Diaz will get a day off after he went 0-for-3 in Friday's 6-1 loss to Minnesota. Victor Caratini will handle the catching duties with Framber Valdez on the mound, batting ninth Saturday. Rotowire.com Today, 9:11 am

    • Gavin Lux has two hits, scores run in loss
Gavin Lux went 2-for-3 with a run scored in a loss to the Rockies on Friday.

Advice: Lux scored the only run of the game for the Dodgers when Mookie Betts hit into a double play. The 26-year-old second baseman has had a few fleeting moments, but it’s been hard to justify him as a fantasy option with a slash of .213/.267/.293. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:37 pm

    • Resting Friday
LeMahieu is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Giants.

Advice: After being reinstated from the 60-day injured list Tuesday, LeMahieu played three straight games against the Angels, going 2-for-9 with three runs and three walks. He'll begin Friday's contest in the dugout as Oswaldo Cabrera gets the start at third base and bats eighth against Giants right-hander Jordan Hicks. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:51 pm

    • Spencer Torkelson not in Tigers lineup on Friday
Spencer Torkelson is not in the Tigers’ starting lineup for Friday night’s tilt against the Red Sox in Boston.

Advice: It looks to be a routine night off for the 24-year-old first baseman. While his bat has perked up in recent weeks, he’s still hitting just .205/.271/.337 with four homers and 18 RBI on the season. Gio Urshela will draw a start at first base in his absence and will bat seventh against Tanner Houck on Friday evening. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:07 pm
    • Resting Friday
Torkelson is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Boston.

Advice: Torkelson will take a day to clear his head after getting three hits in his last 20 at-bats. The 24-year-old first baseman will cede duties to Gio Urshela, who will bat seventh and get his inaugural start at first base this year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:00 pm
    • Records first steal in loss
Crawford went 0-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base in a loss to the Astros on Thursday.

Advice: The veteran shortstop was one of only two Mariners to reach base multiple times on a quiet night for the team's offense. Crawford also snagged his first steal of the campaign and has reached safely in eight of 11 games since his return from the IL, but he still carries a paltry .208/.301/.328 slash line across 143 plate appearances for the season. • Anthony Volpe aims to extend hitting streak to 22
Anthony Volpe will carry a 21-game hitting streak into Thursday’s series finale against the Angels.

Advice: Volpe can surpass Diamondbacks star Ketel Marte for the longest hitting streak in the majors this season with another knock during Thursday’s series finale in Los Angeles. The 23-year-old shortstop’s offseason overhaul to his swing and offensive approach have resulted in a robust .288 batting average to go along with six homers and 11 stolen bases. He’s recorded at least one hit in 21 straight contests since May 7. He’s a long way from Joe DiMaggio’s 56-game streak, but it’s an interesting wrinkle for fantasy managers to continue monitoring. • J.P. Crawford walks twice, steals base in M’s loss
J.P. Crawford walked twice and stole a base on Thursday in the Mariners’ shutout loss at the hands of the Astros.

Advice: Crawford also made one of the highlight reel-worthy defensive plays of the entire season in the seventh inning of this one, flipping the ball to double-play partner Dylan Moore to rob Mauricio Dubón of a surefire single up the middle. The 29-year-old shortstop is batting .231 (9-for-39) with one homer and one steal since returning from the injured list back on May 20. Rotoworld Thursday, 3:45 pm

    • Adames has two-hit game in win against Cubs
Willy Adames went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double and a run scored against the Cubs on Thursday.

Advice: Adames extended his hitting streak to nine games. He continues to have a really nice season for the Brewers in his last year before free agency. The 28-year-old shortstop is up to .260 with a .796 OPS, nine home runs and eight steals this season. Rotoworld Thursday, 1:28 pm
