• Struggles in return to rotation
Houser (0-4) took the loss Tuesday against the Guardians, allowing six runs on six hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Houser looked to be rolling early, as he'd retire the first seven batters faced. However, he'd allow three runs on three doubles in the third inning before Jose Ramirez launched a two-run homer in the fifth, leaving Houser with his fourth loss. The 31-year-old right-hander has struggled to a 7.88 ERA with a 1.78 WHIP and 21:24 K:BB through his first 37.2 innings with New York. If the Mets return to a five-man rotation, Houser will likely head back to the bullpen. Rotowire.com 7 minutes ago

  • Zack Littell strikes out seven in loss to Red Sox
Zack Littell allowed two earned runs over 5 2/3 innings in Tuesday’s loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Littell was pulled with two outs in the sixth inning, which came after a solo homer by Jarren Durran. The veteran righty was solid for much of the afternoon, allowing just three hits and one walk while striking out seven batters. Littell wasn’t in line for the win after leaving with the game tied but he will have a chance to earn his third win of the season in his next start on Tuesday against the Athletics. • Jarren Duran homers, steals home vs. Rays
Jarren Duran went 1-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored in Tuesday’s win over the Rays.

Advice: Duran hit his third homer of the season in the sixth inning to tie the game at 2-2. In the top of the eighth inning, Durran caught the defense sleeping when he stole home after Rays catcher Ben Rortvedt threw down to second to try and catch Rafael Devers stealing. The Red Sox left fielder has now hit safely in seven straight games and is hitting .278 in the month of May.

  • Criswell allows two earned runs in win over Rays
Cooper Criswell allowed two earned runs over 5 1/3 innings in the Red Sox win over the Rays.

Advice: Criswell was solid in this one, and as now allowed three earned runs or less in each of his eight starts this season. Criswell ran into trouble in the first inning when he allowed three hits to his first four batters faced, with the third hit being a two-RBI single from Isaac Paredes. It was the only two runs Criswell would allow, as he was able to settle and allowed just two hits the rest of the way. Criswell will make his next start on Monday against the Orioles. • Devers’ home run streak ends at six games
Rafael Devers went 1-for-3 with a run scored in Tuesday’s win over the Rays.

Advice: Devers’ home run streak officially ends at six games, but he did manage to push his hitting streak to 11 games in the 5-2 win over the Rays. Devers’ lone hit came in the second inning, as he later came around to score on a Vaughn Grissom single. Devers has totaled 13 hits in his last 44 at-bats and is batting .286 on the month. We’ll see if he can stay hot and get another home run streak going in his next outing. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago

  • Goes 4.1 innings vs. Mets
Curry did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Mets, allowing two runs on seven hits over 4.1 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Curry got off to a strong start Tuesday, holding the Mets scoreless through his first four innings. However, after striking out Starling Marte to open the fifth, Curry gave up four straight hits, including a home run to Mark Vientos, as he was pulled from the game before he could qualify for the win. While the 25-year-old Curry held the Red Sox scoreless through five innings in his only other start with Cleveland this year, he'd been struggling mightily with Triple-A Columbus, pitching to an 11.22 ERA in his last five outings. Still, he could get another look in the big-league rotation with Carlos Carrasco (neck) going on the IL. Curry would tentatively line up for a road matchup with the Rockies in his next start. • Sean Murphy (oblique) homers in rehab contest
Sean Murphy (oblique) homered on Tuesday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Gwinnett.

Advice: Murphy caught seven innings behind the plate and also threw out a runner attempting to steal second base in this one. The 29-year-old backstop looked ready to return to the majors in this one, but he’ll presumably get at least a couple more contests under his belt before heading back to Atlanta. • Eloy Jiménez leaves game with hamstring strain
Eloy Jiménez was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Blue Jays with a left hamstring strain.

Advice: Not good. Jiménez is currently in the midst of an extended offensive slump and will almost certainly wind up requiring a trip to the injured list. The oft-injured 27-year-old outfielder simply hasn’t been able to stay on the field the last few years, which diminishes his appeal for fantasy managers, despite his immense talent. There should be an update regarding the severity of the injury at some point in the near future after he undergoes some additional imaging. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

  • Up to 15 saves
Clase earned the save in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Mets, working around a hit in a scoreless ninth inning.

Advice: Clase's now pitched three consecutive days while locking down saves in back-to-back outings. He'd allow a one-out single to Francisco Lindor on Tuesday before inducing a game-ending double play off the bat of Pete Alonso. Clase lowered his ERA to a pristine 0.36 with a 0.59 WHIP and 24:2 K:BB across 25.1 innings while converting a league-leading 15 saves in 18 opportunities. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago
