      Manager Brian Snitker said Thursday that Minter (hip) has been playing catch with no issues and will pitch an inning at some point next week, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

      Advice: The team has not yet determined whether or not Minter's next step will come during live batting practice or in a minor-league rehab game.       Advice: Ragans was strong yet again Sunday, yielding two earned runs or fewer for the fourth consecutive start. During that span, the 26-year-old has recorded a robust 1.13 ERA and 32:8 K:BB in 24 innings. The hard-throwing southpaw induced 14 swinging strikes Sunday and has shown an impressive ability to miss bats this season, posting 10.97 K/9 thanks to a 15.0 percent swinging strike rate that ranks in the 95th percentile.       Cole Ragans allowed one run on five hits in six innings in a no-decision against the Padres on Sunday.

      Advice: The left-hander struck out six and walked two on the day while recording 14 whiffs on 46 swings for a 30 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW. He had some issues finding the strike zone with his off-speed pitches, but the induced whiffs outside of the zone and the Padres were unable to square him up.       Braves placed LHP A.J. Minter on the 15-day IL with left hip inflammation.

      Advice: Minter struggled at the beginning of the month but is coming off five straight scoreless appearances to lower his season-long ERA to 2.95. There is no indication yet how long Minter will be sidelined, but the Braves will likely turn to Aaron Bummer as their main lefty out of the bullpen in the meantime.       Atlanta placed Minter on the 15-day injured list Thursday with left hip inflammation.

      Advice: Minter tossed a scoreless inning in Wednesday's win over the Nationals but evidently must have injured his hip during the appearance.
