    • Volpe scores run, steals 12th base in win
Anthony Volpe went 1-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base against the Twins on Thursday.

Advice: Volpe’s stolen base was his 12th of the season. He continues to occupy the leadoff spot in New York even after the return of D.J. LeMahieu. Volpe is up to 46 runs scored in 63 games for the Yankees this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:37 pm
    • X-rays negative on Nico Hoerner’s hand after HBP
X-rays came back negative on Nico Hoerner’s hand after being hit by a pitch during Thursday’s game against the Reds.

Advice: Hoerner remained in the contest and appears to have avoided serious injury after being plunked on the hand by a 96.5 mph fastball from Reds starter Hunter Greene during the early stages of the game. It doesn’t sound like he’s going to wind up missing any time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:44 pm

    • Tallies three hits in victory
Volpe went 3-for-5 with a triple and two runs against Minnesota in a 9-5 win Wednesday.

Advice: Volpe was responsible for one-third of the Yankees' nine hits in the victory, and he scored twice from atop the team's lineup. It was the fifth time this season the second-year shortstop has collected three or more hits in a game. Volpe had a 21-game hitting streak snapped May 30, but he's picked things right up since then, building a five-game hitting streak during which he's batted .364 (8-for-22). • Anthony Volpe collects three hits in win Wednesday
Anthony Volpe went 3-for-5 with a triple and a pair of runs scored as the Yankees topped the Twins on Wednesday evening in New York.

Advice: Volpe led off the home half of the first inning with a single and came around to score the game’s first run on a ground ball off the bat of Aaron Judge. He also singled in the fifth inning and scored on Aaron Judge’s three-run triple. Volpe then smacked a three-bagger of his own in the eighth inning, but the Bombers couldn’t cash him in. He’s having an outstanding season atop the Yankees’ lineup — hitting .290/.355/.448 with six homers, 25 RBI and 11 stolen bases. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:46 pm
    • Anthony Volpe extends on-base streak to 30 games
Anthony Volpe singled on Tuesday in the Yankees’ win over the Twins, extending his on-base streak to 30 consecutive games.

Advice: Volpe extended his on-base streak, which is tied with teammate Aaron Judge for the longest in baseball this season, by slicing a third-inning single into shallow right field before racing around the bases to score on Judge’s two-run double later in the frame. • Nico Hoerner has two hits in loss to Reds
Nico Hoerner went 2-for-5 with a run scored in a loss to the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: Hoerner has been slowly increasing his batting average in recent weeks and is up to .262/.351/.366 on the season; however, he didn’t attempt a stolen base today and has just six on the season. After stealing 43 bases last year, it’s discouraging to see Hoerner not running as often. It could partially be a hamstring issue he’s been dealing with or a new philosophy under manager Craig Counsell, but since Hoerner doesn’t have much power, his fantasy value will take a big hit if he’s only a 25-stolen-base hitter who will hit .270-.280. If you need the steals, you should still keep Hoerner in your lineup, but if you’re OK on speed and somebody makes a compelling offer, he could be a player you’re OK parting with. • Anthony Volpe extends on-base streak to 28 games
Anthony Volpe went 1-for-4 with a double on Saturday in the Yankees’ win over the Giants.

Advice: Volpe’s 21-game hitting streak came to an end during Thursday’s series finale against the Angels when he went 0-for-5, but he’s reached base safely in 28 consecutive contests since May 2, which puts him in a tie with teammate Aaron Judge for the longest active streak in the game. The 23-year-old is excelling at the dish in the wake of last offseason’s offensive overhaul to his swing and approach. His .351 on-base percentage will certainly work atop New York’s lineup moving forward. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:20 am
    • Anthony Volpe aims to extend hitting streak to 22
Anthony Volpe will carry a 21-game hitting streak into Thursday’s series finale against the Angels.

Advice: Volpe can surpass Diamondbacks star Ketel Marte for the longest hitting streak in the majors this season with another knock during Thursday’s series finale in Los Angeles. The 23-year-old shortstop’s offseason overhaul to his swing and offensive approach have resulted in a robust .288 batting average to go along with six homers and 11 stolen bases. He’s recorded at least one hit in 21 straight contests since May 7. He’s a long way from Joe DiMaggio’s 56-game streak, but it’s an interesting wrinkle for fantasy managers to continue monitoring.
