    • David Hamilton absent from Tuesday’s lineup
David Hamilton is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Hamilton has been playing through a lingering side issue of late and will take a seat on Tuesday night at Fenway Park with veteran righty Kevin Gausman on the mound for Toronto. The 26-year-old speedster figures to make an appearance off the bench at some point in the contest. It’ll be Enmanuel Valdez taking a turn at the keystone to open the game. • Absent from lineup
Hamilton is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Blue Jays.

Advice: Hamilton hit a big home run in the Red Sox' comeback win over the Blue Jays on Monday, but he will begin Tuesday's festivities on the bench. Ceddanne Rafaela is at shortstop and Enmanuel Valdez will play second base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:42 pm
    • Homers in win
Hamilton started at second base and went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 7-6 win over Toronto.

Advice: Hamilton belted his fifth home run of the season, a two-run shot in the bottom of the eighth inning that narrowed the Red Sox's deficit to 6-4. It continued a renaissance that began mid-May -- Hamilton has an .869 OPS with 17 steals, eight doubles, one triple, four home runs and 13 RBI over the last 36 games. The offensive production has led to Hamilton being a lineup regular, typically at shortstop but sometimes at second base, with the latter an unsettled position at this stage. • David Hamilton back in Saturday’s lineup vs. Reds
David Hamilton (side) is back in the lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Reds.

Advice: Hamilton is back in Boston’s lineup after missing two of their last three contests due to some lingering left side discomfort. The 26-year-old speedster should be rostered in all fantasy formats at this point since he’s batting .315 (29-for-92) with three homers and 16 stolen bases over his last 30 games. His game-changing speed is a factor for fantasy purposes, even if he’s going to bat near the bottom of the lineup more often than not. Rotoworld Saturday, 10:19 am
    • Clubs homer Friday
Castro went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run, a double and two total runs scored in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Castro logged his fourth multi-hit effort in his last five games, with the lone exception being Thursday when he started the game on the bench. Batting .290 (20-for-69) in June, Castro has been impressive for the Twins, and it hasn't been just an empty average. He has nine extra-base hits, eight RBI and 13 runs scored over 19 contests this month. For the season, he's posted a .272/.357/.444 slash line with six homers, 24 RBI, 43 runs scored, eight stolen bases and a career-high 19 doubles through 76 games. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:30 pm

    • David Hamilton not in Red Sox’ lineup on Friday
David Hamilton is not in the Red Sox’ starting lineup for Friday night’s soiree against the Reds in Cincinnati.

Advice: The 26-year-old speedster has been battling discomfort in his left side, so it’s possible that they’re just easing him back into action. Or if could be that the Red Sox are facing a left-handed starter in Andrew Abbott. Either way, it wouldn’t be surprising at all to see him pinch-run and still swipe a bag or two on Friday night before all is said and done. Romy Gonzalez will start in his place at shortstop and bat second for the Red Sox on Friday evening. Rotoworld Friday, 1:14 pm
    • On bench against left-hander
Hamilton is not in the lineup for Friday's game in Cincinnati.

Advice: The left-handed hitting Hamilton has been an everyday guy lately for the Red Sox, but he'll begin this one on the bench as the Reds send southpaw Andrew Abbott to the bump. Hamilton has also dealt with a side issue this week, so the team could be exercising caution here. Romy Gonzalez will handle shortstop Friday. Rotowire.com Friday, 12:33 pm
    • Paul Dejong gets a day off on Thursday
Paul Dejong is not in the lineup for the White Sox on Thursday against the Astros.

Advice: Dejong will take a seat with Nicky Lopez sliding over to shortstop and Danny Mendick playing second base. The veteran is having a great month of June, hitting .246 with six home runs, nine runs, and 11 RBI in 17 games. The power is obviously really nice, but the poor team context around him is keeping his counting stats a little low given his home run total. He has also never hit for a high batting average and is still under .250 even with the power, so he’s really just an add if you’re looking for home runs from your middle infield spot. • Getting maintenance day
DeJong is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Astros.

Advice: He'll receive a breather for the day game after a night game, opening up a turn at shortstop for Nicky Lopez. DeJong had started each of the White Sox's previous 21 games and was one of the team's most productive hitters over that stretch, batting .235 with 11 extra-base hits (seven home runs, four doubles), 12 RBI and 10 runs.
