• Clubs three-run homer
Sosa went 3-for-5 in Saturday's win over Arizona with a double and a three-run home run.

Advice: Sosa singled in his third trip to the plate and was later thrown out at home on a fielder's choice play. However, he would come right back with a two-out, three-run home run in the following inning to increase the White Sox's lead to five runs while also adding a double in the ninth. It marked the third baseman's first three-hit performance of the season and his fifth multi-hit effort this month, where he's now batting .333 with two homers and seven RBI. • Sitting Sunday
Murphy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

Advice: Murphy will rest for the series finale after he started behind the plate Friday and Saturday while going 2-for-7 with a walk and a run scored. Travis d'Arnaud will garner the start at catcher Sunday. Rotowire.com 8 minutes ago

  • Continues hot stretch Saturday
Moniak went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 4-3 win against the Giants.

Advice: Moniak produced the Angels' first run with a solo shot to center field in the second inning. Though he's still posting an ugly .194/.241/.300 slash line on the season, the outfielder has been heating up of late. Moniak has hit safely in seven straight games, batting .391 (9-for-23) with four extra-base hits, six RBI, four runs and two stolen bases while starting in center field in all but one contest during that stretch. • Atlanta options Kerr to Triple-A Gwinnett
Braves optioned LHP Ray Kerr to Triple-A Gwinnett.

Advice: Kerr has made the trip from Gwinnett to Atlanta and vice versa a couple of times in 2024, and that is likely to continue through the campaign. He’s down to make room for Grant Holmes after Holmes had his contract selected from Gwinnett in the corresponding transaction. Rotoworld 11 minutes ago

  • Heading to bench Sunday
Rojas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: Rojas will take a seat for the second time in the series, hitting the bench while Brandon Marsh -- who returned from the injured list Saturday -- covers center field in his stead. Though Marsh will likely see most of his reps in left field moving forward, his return could cost Rojas more time if he continues to languish at the plate and the Phillies want to open up more at-bats for David Dahl, who had served as the primary replacement in left field for Marsh. • Another big performance
Vaughn went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Saturday's win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Vaughn drove home Chicago's first run of the game with an RBI single in the third before adding a two-run shot in the fifth, boosting the team's lead to three runs. It marked the first baseman's fifth long ball in his last 10 games and he's now batting .340 in June with nine RBI and 11 runs scored. Vaughn has also recorded multiple hits in four of his last six contests. Rotowire.com 15 minutes ago
  • Atlanta recalls Ynoa, placed him on 60-day IL
Braves recalled RHP Huascar Ynoa and placed him on the 60-day injured list with a right elbow stress reaction.

Advice: It’s a procedural move that takes Ynoa off the 40-man roster and gives Atlanta space to select the contract of Grant Holmes. Ynoa’s injury will keep him out through the All-Star break, and there’s a chance he won’t be able to help the staff until 2025. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago

  • Losing out on DH starts
Carpenter is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Carpenter finds himself on the bench for the fifth game in a row, with St. Louis having faced three lefties and two righties during that stretch. Though he appeared headed for a regular role at DH versus righties after Lars Nootbaar (oblique) was placed on the injured list May 31, Carpenter seems to have fallen out of favor after mustering a .130/.200/.261 slash line through his first eight games of June. The Cardinals may just prefer to rotate a number of regulars at the DH spot rather than settling on a primary option. Rotowire.com 22 minutes ago
  • Fans six in win
Fedde (5-1) picked up the win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday, allowing two runs on eight hits over six innings while striking out six.

Advice: Fedde got himself into trouble early and often, surrendering leadoff hits in four of his six innings of work. However, the right-hander was able to limit the damage to just two runs, one of which came across in the opening frame. He threw only 12 first-pitch strikes (out of 26) but still managed to hang on for his first win since May 14 against the Nationals. Fedde has now logged quality starts in back-to-back outings and in three of his last five starts overall. He also carries an impressive 17:1 K:BB through three June starts. Rotowire.com 23 minutes ago
