    • Hurls seven no-hit innings
Blanco (7-2) got the win Sunday vs the Tigers. He did not allow a run or a hit in seven innings, while walking three and striking out eight.

Advice: Blanco flirted with his second no-hitter of the season but his elevated pitch count forced him out of the game after seven frames, and the bullpen would give up a hit the next inning. The 30-year-old righty mowed through the Tigers lineup registering eight strikeouts in another impressive showing. Blanco lowered his ERA to 2.43 as he became the eighth pitcher since 1900 to have multiple games of seven innings and zero hits allowed in single season. Rotowire.com 29 minutes ago

    • Gerrit Cole could start Wednesday against Orioles
Gerrit Cole (elbow) could make his season debut Wednesday against the Orioles.

Advice: The Yankees announced their rotation for the series against Baltimore. Kind of. Tuesday’s starter will be Nestor Cortes, and Thursday will be Luis Gil. Wednesday has a TBD by it, and it seems possible — if not probable — that it’ll be Cole returning to the rotation. The 2023 Cy Young winner has looked the part in his rehab starts, and while there could be some precautions taken, there’s every reason to believe he’ll be just as fantasy relevant over these three-plus months of 2024. • Ronel Blanco starting Sunday against Tigers
Ronel Blanco will start Sunday’s game against the Tigers.

Advice: There was talk that Blanco would get some extra rest before making his next outing, but the right-hander will work on regular rest for the finale against Detroit. Assuming the rotation stays the same after this start, his next outing would come against the Orioles. Rotoworld Today, 8:31 am

    • Drawing start Sunday
Blanco will start Sunday's game against the Tigers, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Heading into the weekend, Blanco wasn't expected to make a start against the Tigers, but he ended up getting pushed up in the pitching schedule after Justin Verlander had his turn in the rotation skipped due to a neck injury. As a result of the change in the pitching schedule, Blanco no longer lines up for two starts during the upcoming week. After Sunday's outing, the right-hander is on track to make his next start next weekend versus the Orioles in Houston. Rotowire.com Today, 8:12 am

    • Fans six in win
Fedde (5-1) picked up the win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday, allowing two runs on eight hits over six innings while striking out six.

Advice: Fedde got himself into trouble early and often, surrendering leadoff hits in four of his six innings of work. However, the right-hander was able to limit the damage to just two runs, one of which came across in the opening frame. He threw only 12 first-pitch strikes (out of 26) but still managed to hang on for his first win since May 14 against the Nationals. Fedde has now logged quality starts in back-to-back outings and in three of his last five starts overall. He also carries an impressive 17:1 K:BB through three June starts. • Erick Fedde hurls six strong in victory over ARI
Erick Fedde went six innings while allowing two runs to get a win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: Fedde did allow eight hits, but he didn’t put anyone on via walk while striking out six. The right-hander gave up runs in the first and fifth inning and he was able to avoid the big inning for another strong outing for the 31-year-old. The White Sox have been a disaster, but Fedde has been an absolute bright spot with a 3.09 ERA through 87 1/3 innings. He’s scheduled to take on the Tigers on Friday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:08 pm
    • Pummeled early in loss
Arrighetti (3-6) allowed seven runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two over 1.1 innings to take the loss versus the Tigers on Saturday.

Advice: Arrighetti was moved up a day when Justin Verlander (neck) was scratched from his scheduled start. The result was disastrous for the Astros, as Arrighetti gave up three home runs in his shortest outing of the season, though the Astros came into Saturday with a well-rested bullpen. The rookie right-hander has not made a good impression in the majors this year with a 6.37 ERA, 1.71 WHIP and 63:31 K:BB over 53.2 innings through 12 starts. With the Astros' rotation already thin, it's likely Arrighetti sticks around for his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to be a tough home matchup versus the Orioles. • Completes seven innings in win
Rodriguez (8-2) earned the win against the Phillies on Saturday, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk with six strikeouts over seven innings.

Advice: Rodriguez allowed runs on an RBI double by Alec Bohm in the first inning and a solo home run by Edmundo Sosa in the second but rebounded with five scoreless frames to earn his third consecutive win. This was the first time Rodriguez completed seven innings in a start this season, but he has pitched into the sixth in all but two of his 12 starts so far. On the year, Rodriguez now owns a 3.20 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 77:23 K:BB and tentatively lines up to start next week against the Yankees. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:51 pm

    • Spencer Arrighetti roughed up by Tigers
Spencer Arrighetti allowed seven runs on five hits in 1 1/3 innings in a loss to the Tigers on Saturday.

Advice: The Astros moved Arrighetti’s start up a day when Justin Verlander was scratched with an injury and that may have been the wrong move. The 24-year-old had allowed just two earned runs over 14 2/3 innings in his last three starts and had a 15.3 percent K-BB rate and 11.4 percent swinging strike rate over his last four starts. Yet, nothing worked for him on Saturday. He couldn’t find the plate with anything other than his cutter and induced just three whiffs on 20 swings for a 15 percent whiff rate and 23 percent CSW. It’s possible the late change in schedule threw him off, but whatever it was, he remains off the streaming radar next week against the Orioles. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:08 pm
