    • Turns in 30-pitch bullpen session
Rodriguez (shoulder) tossed a 30-pitch bullpen session Sunday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Rodriguez said that he felt good following the workout, but he acknowledged that he didn't know whether he would be cleared to face hitters the next time he throws, or if he would continue the ramp-up process with another bullpen session. After being placed on the 15-day injured list May 1 with shoulder inflammation, Rodriguez is eligible for activation Wednesday, but he looks like he'll need at least a little time beyond that before he's ready to rejoin the Baltimore rotation. • Adley Rutschman homers in loss to Arizona
Adley Rutschman went 1-for-4 with a home run in a loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Rutschman took a Zac Gallen offering and hit it 363 feet at 105.5 mph for his sixth home run of the season. The 26-year-old continues to be a solid performer at the top of the Orioles’ lineup and one of the best catchers in fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:03 pm

    • MacKenzie Gore takes tough luck loss against BOS
MacKenzie Gore allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits in six innings in a loss to the Red Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Gore struck out nine and walked just two on the day while posting a stellar 30 percent whiff rate and 28 percent CSW. His slider was his best pitch today which is partially a problem because it’s his third-most used pitch and he threw only 17 on the day. The curve didn’t miss many bats and got hit hard in what was otherwise a pretty solid overall start for Gore. His ERA stands at 3.38 on the year but he gets a much tougher start next week on the road against the Phillies. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:43 pm
    • Bello returns with solid outing against Nationals
Brayan Bello allowed two runs on four hits in five innings in a win over the Nationals on Sunday.

Advice: Bello struck out just one and walked two, but he also allowed only one extra-base hit and an average exit velocity of just 85 mph. He didn’t miss many bats in this one, with a 19 percent whiff rate and 24 percent CSW, but it wasn’t a bad effort in his first start coming off the IL. He’ll look to build on it next week against a reeling Cardinals offense. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:40 pm
    • Solid over seven versus Twins
Manoah (0-1) was tagged with a loss after he pitched seven innings, allowing three unearned runs on four hits and a walk while striking out six in Sunday's 5-1 defeat to Minnesota.

Advice: Manoah was in full command Sunday, tossing six scoreless frames to open his outing against the Twins. With one out in the top of the seventh inning, Max Kepler reached on a fielding error by Toronto's third baseman Ernie Clement and three runs -- all of which were unearned -- later came around to score in the frame. The 26-year-old struggled in his 2024 debut against the Nationals on May 5, giving up seven runs (six earned) over four innings, so Sunday's performance was certainly a positive turnaround for the big right-hander. Manoah will look to make it back-to-back strong outings when he returns to the mound for his next projected start Saturday versus the Rays. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:23 pm
    • Alek Manoah strong for seven in loss to Twins
Alek Manoah took a tough loss after allowing three unearned runs over seven innings Sunday against the Twins.

Advice: The runs all came on a Carlos Santana homer following an Ernie Clement error in the seventh. Manoah allowed four hits, walked one and struck out six. His velocity today wasn’t quite as good as his in his season debut last week, but he was still up about one mph from last year on all of his pitches and he induced 15 missed swings. We wouldn’t trust him in mixed leagues right now, but this has been pretty encouraging. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:30 pm
    • Tyler Glasnow won’t start Wednesday vs. Giants
Tyler Glasnow will not start Wednesday’s game against the Giants.

Advice: Yoshinobu Yamamoto will get the ball Monday with Gavin Stone on Tuesday, but the Dodgers will either go with a bullpen game or make a roster move prior to Wednesday’s game rather than have Glasnow start. The Dodgers have given the right-hander at least five days off betweens starts in 2024, and that will continue for the foreseeable future. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:41 am
    • Held out for third straight game
Carter (back) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: With lefty Austin Gomber starting for Colorado in Friday's 4-2 loss, Carter was held out of the starting nine, but he logged an at-bat off the bench as a pinch-hitter. He may have tweaked his back at some point during that appearance, however, as he'll remain on the bench for a third straight day. Robbie Grossman will fill in for the banged-up Carter in left field. • Evan Carter out again Sunday with back stiffness
Evan Carter (back) is not in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Rockies.

Advice: Carter was scratched from the lineup Saturday with stiffness in his lower back, and the 21-year-old will miss at least one more game. Robbie Grossman is hitting sixth and starting in left field in Carter’s absence. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:28 am
