    Connor Wong went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI on Wednesday, propelling the Red Sox to a 6-2 victory over the visiting Giants.

    Advice: Wong started things in the fourth inning with a leadoff double off of Daulton Jefferies, then raced around to score on an RBI double by Enmanuel Valdez. He also drove in a run of his own with a two-out RBI double off of Mitch White in the seventh inning.     Jarren Duran smacked an RBI triple, scored a run and drew a pair of walks as the Red Sox triumphed over the Giants on Wednesday evening at Fenway Park.

    Advice: Duran worked a walk off of Daulton Jefferies in the third inning and came around to score the go-ahead run on an RBI ground out off the bat of Rob Refsnyder. He then plated a run of his own with a two-out RBI triple that chased Jefferies in the fourth inning.   • Tom Murphy clubs solo homer in loss Wednesday
    Tom Murphy clubbed his first home run of the season on Wednesday night, but it wasn’t enough to power the Giants past the Red Sox in Boston.

    Advice: Murphy walloped a 407-foot (106.4 mph EV) solo shot off of Kutter Crawford to lead off the third inning, giving the Giants an early 1-0 lead. It would be short-lived.     Nico Hoerner went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and a stolen base on Wednesday in a 1-0 win over the Mets.

    Advice: Hoerner knocked a double in the first inning, then a single in the fifth. He drew a walk in the eighth to reach for a third time and stole second for his second steal of the season. Hoerner has hit out of the leadoff spot for the Cubs over the last two weeks, with both steals coming over that span. The 26-year-old second baseman is hitting .272/.349/.360 with 18 runs scored across 129 plate appearances. Hitting leadoff would help his stolen base rate if he can hold the top spot in the lineup.     Matt Mervis went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored on Wednesday against the Mets.

    Advice: Mervis doubled to lead off the fifth inning and took third base on a wild pitch. A sacrifice fly by Pete Crow-Armstrong brought Mervis in to score the only run of the game.     Dane Myers delivered a pinch-hit, two-run single in the eighth inning on Wednesday, helping to lead the Marlins to a 4-1 victory over the visiting Rockies.

    Advice: The 28-year-old outfielder came on to bat for Christian Bethancourt with the bases loaded and two outs in the eighth inning. He responded by lining a 1-1 offering from Nick Mears into right field for a two-run single to provide the Marlins with a pair of valuable insurance runs. He was then hit by a pitch to start the fifth inning and scored the game’s first run on an RBI knock by Luis Arraez. The 27-year-old then singled in the sixth inning before drawing a walk and scoring on a two-run single by Dane Myers in the ninth.     Advice: McMahon worked a two-out walk off of Roddery Munoz in the opening inning and went to third on a single by Elias Diaz, but the Rockies couldn’t cash him in. He then smacked a one-out double in the sixth inning that pushed Brenton Doyle to third base and helped contribute to the Rockies’ lone run on the day.   • Oswaldo Cabrera powers Yankees past Orioles
    Oswaldo Cabrera swatted a two-run homer off of Corbin Burnes on Wednesday night, powering the Yankees to a 2-0 victory over the Orioles in Baltimore.

    Advice: Cabrera accounted for the only scoring for either team in the ballgame, poking a 352-foot (103.3 mph EV) two-out, two-run homer just over the wall in right field and just inside the foul pole to give the Yankees a 2-0 lead in the fifth inning. He also singled in the ballgame and swiped a base, finishing the night 2-for-3.
