    • Sharp outing against Yankees
Musgrove did not factor into the decision in Sunday's win over the Yankees, allowing one run on six hits and no walks while striking out five over 5.1 innings.

Advice: Musgrove blanked the Yankees through five before Juan Soto finally opened up the scoring with a one-out RBI double in the sixth that prompted Musgrove's exit after 87 pitches. Despite remaining winless since April 21, Sunday's start was an encouraging showing and one of Musgrove's best starts in what's been a tough season for him so far. The 31-year-old will carry a 5.66 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 44:15 K:BB (49.1 innings) into a road start against the Royals this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:12 am

    • Triples, scores in loss
Carroll went 1-for-3 with a walk, a triple and a run scored in Sunday's 3-1 loss to Miami.

Advice: Arizona's offense couldn't get anything going until Carroll tripled and scored in the bottom of the eighth inning. It was the outfielder's fourth triple of the season, all coming within the last eight games. However, there's been little to celebrate for Carroll, whose .188 average and .096 ISO are miles below what they were in 2023. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:13 am
    • Working way out of slump
Bregman went 2-for-4 with a walk Sunday against the Athletics.

Advice: Bregman has slumped for significant periods of the season and Sunday's performance was his first multi-hit game in his last eight starts. He's been unlucky to the tune of a .217 BABIP across 216 plate appearances on the campaign, though Bregman's struggles to make consistent quality contact make him susceptible to these results. • Picks up ninth save
Jansen pitched a flawless ninth inning and picked up the save Sunday against Milwaukee. He struck out two.

Advice: Jansen notched his ninth save of the season, preserving a 2-1 Boston lead in the ninth inning. The right-hander continues to have a firm grip on the Boston closer role, as no other Boston reliever has registered more than two saves this season. The 36-year-old veteran is now 9-for-10 in save chances this season with a 3.06 ERA. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:53 pm

    • Kenley Jansen perfect in earning ninth save
Kenley Jansen pitched a perfect ninth, striking out two, for a save Sunday against the Brewers.

Advice: Jansen’s save was his ninth in 10 chances. He’ll be a trade candidate this summer and there’s the chance he’ll go to a team that won’t employ him as a closer, but he’s a top-15 reliever for now. Rotoworld Sunday, 5:18 pm

    • Scoreless streak ends in loss
Crochet (5-5) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out 11 over six innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Orioles.

Advice: Crochet was able to extend his scoreless streak to 24 innings, which began with his last two frames versus the Cardinals on May 5. It came to a close when Adley Rutschman took him deep in the sixth inning of Sunday's contest, and that was enough to snap Crochet's four-start winning streak as well. On the bright side, he earned a fifth straight quality start and reached double-digit strikeouts for the third time this year. Crochet is at a 3.68 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 85:14 K:BB through 63.2 innings over 12 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Brewers. • Joe Musgrove pitches well in no-decision vs. Yanks
Joe Musgrove looked sharp in a no-decision against the Yankees on Sunday afternoon, surrendering just one run on six hits over his 5 1/3 innings.

Advice: The 31-year-old hurler struck out five batters on the afternoon and didn’t issue a base on balls. He kept the Yankees off the board through the first five innings until Juan Soto broke through with a one-out RBI double in the sixth that chased Musgrove from the ballgame. The Padres would go on to score four times in their half of the sixth inning, but Musgrove wouldn’t benefit. He generated 10 swings and misses on 87 pitches on the day, registering a solid CSW of 29 percent. He’ll look to build off of this start as he carries a 5.66 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and a 44/15 K/BB ratio (49 1/3 innings) into Saturday’s start against the Royals in Kansas City. • Breaks open game with homer
Rutschman went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-1 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Rutschman inserted himself into a pitching duel between Kyle Bradish and Garrett Crochet, taking the latter deep in the sixth inning. This was Rutschman's first homer since May 15, and he went an uncharacteristically poor 6-for-30 (.200) over his eight contests in between long balls. The catcher is up to a .300/.338/.483 slash line with 10 homers, 35 RBI, 28 runs scored, seven doubles and one stolen base over 49 games this season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 3:55 pm

    • Corbin Carroll triples and scores in loss to Fish
Corbin Carroll tripled, walked and scored a run as the Diamondbacks fell to the Marlins on Sunday afternoon in Miami.

Advice: The 23-year-old outfielder smacked a one-out triple off of Calvin Faucher in the eighth inning and dashed home with the Diamondbacks’ first run on a ground ball off the bat of Lourdes Gurriel Jr. While Carroll’s bat has perked up over the past couple of weeks, he’s still slashing an anemic .188/.274/.284 on the season to go along with two homers, 17 RBI and nine stolen bases.
