    • Tagged for nine runs
Luzardo (2-5) took the loss Tuesday against the Rays, allowing nine runs on nine hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Luzardo got off to a solid start Tuesday, holding Tampa scoreless through his first three innings. However, he'd surrender four runs in the fourth, including three on a Brandon Lowe homer, before the Rays would proceed to put up a five spot in the fifth. It was ultimately a brutal outing for Luzardo, who came into the day with a 1.99 ERA over his previous five starts. His ERA shot up from 4.18 to 5.30 with a 1.25 WHIP and 52:18 K:BB across 56 innings this season. Luzardo will look to get back on track in his next outing, currently scheduled for this weekend at home versus the Guardians. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago
    • Dealing with back injury
Munoz has been dealing with a lower-back injury over the past few weeks and aggravated it during his collision with Max Schuemann on Tuesday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The initial concern following Munoz's removal from Tuesday's game was with his right ankle/leg, which seemed to get pinned underneath Schuemann, but the issue now appears to be with the closer's lingering back problems. Manager Scott Servais said Munoz will head in for an MRI on Wednesday to determine the severity of his latest flareup, at which point the Mariners will likely make a decision on whether or not the 25-year-old righty will require a trip to the IL. Should Munoz have to miss time, Ryne Stanek would be the most likely candidate for saves. Rotowire.com 26 minutes ago

    • Fills stat sheet in loss
Winn went 3-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and one stolen base in Tuesday's 8-5 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Winn was 2-for-13 over his previous four games before breaking out of that short slump with a big performance. The shortstop has arguably been the Cardinals' most consistent hitter with a .309/.359/.446 slash line over 197 plate appearances this year. He's added three homers, 21 RBI, 20 runs scored and eight steals. The Cardinals' offense has been inconsistent at best, which has limited Winn's production of counting stats, but his ability to make quality contact has made him fantasy relevant in most formats, especially since he's seen a near-everyday role at shortstop. • Andrés Muñoz to undergo MRI on back
The Mariners said Andrés Muñoz has been dealing with a back issue that flared up during the home plate collision during Tuesday’s game, necessitating Muñoz’s removal from the game.

Advice: Apparently, this has been ongoing for a couple of weeks, but this is the first time the Mariners have expressed concern. He’s expected to undergo an MRI on Wednesday to see if there’s something significant going on in there. Ryne Stanek is probably worth picking up for mixed leaguers in need of saves. • Yuki Matsui gives up three runs in loss
Yuki Matsui was charged with three runs without retiring a batter in taking a loss in relief Tuesday against the Angels.

Advice: Matsui also allowed three runs and took a loss in his previous appearance Sunday, so his ERA has quickly jumped from 2.88 to 4.97. He made sense for those speculating on saves back in March, but Robert Suarez has easily outpaced him this season. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago
    • Manny Machado goes 3-for-4, knocks in run
Manny Machado went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a steal versus the Angels on Tuesday.

Advice: Machado has collected hits in 12 of 13 games, and his batted ball numbers have started to creep up as well. There’s nothing so far to suggest he’s about to go on a tear, but things are looking up. He’s currently at .251/.315/.379 for the year. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

    • Exits following collision
Munoz was removed from Tuesday's game against the Athletics with an apparent injury, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Munoz collided with Max Schuemann while covering home plate following a wild pitch, appearing to get his right ankle/leg caught underneath the sliding Schuemann. After throwing a warmup pitch, the right-handed reliever was taken out of the game, though he was able to head into the Mariners' clubhouse under his own power. An update on the severity of Munoz's injury should come before Wednesday's game. Rotowire.com 58 minutes ago

    • Andrés Muñoz exits with apparent leg injury
Andrés Muñoz left Tuesday’s game in the ninth inning after a collision at home plate.

Advice: Muñoz appeared to injure his right leg while trying to make a play after a wild pitch. He felt well enough to attempt a warmup pitch afterwards, but he didn’t fully extend on the leg and the decision was made to lift him from the game. Hopefully, this will just be a day-to-day injury. Tayler Saucedo wound up with the save after Muñoz exited tonight, but Ryne Stanek would be the favorite for saves if Muñoz lands on the IL. Rotoworld Today, 9:30 pm

    • Notches another save Tuesday
Neris worked around a walk to toss a scoreless ninth inning and record the save in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Neris ceded a one-out walk then watched pinch-runner Duke Ellis swipe second. However, the veteran reliever picked off Ellis to shut down any chance of a rally by the White Sox. Neris now has eight saves in 10 chances this season to go with a solid 2.86 ERA. He's earned a little job security as the Cubs' closer given his strong play, particularly with Opening Day closer Adbert Alzolay (forearm) on the 60-day IL. Rotowire.com Today, 8:45 pm
