    • Matt Chapman wallops grand slam to sink Reds
Matt Chapman went 2-for-4 with a grand slam on Saturday, propelling the Giants to a 5-1 win over the Reds.

Advice: Chapman’s 416-foot moonshot to left-center field off Reds starter Nick Lodolo with two outs in the opening frame was more than enough run support for San Francisco’s pitching staff to pull away with an easy victory at Oracle Park. It was his fifth round-tripper of the season and first time he’s gone deep since April 16. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:21 am

    • Grand slam powers win
Chapman went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Reds.

Advice: Chapman has multiple hits in two of his last three games, and Saturday also saw him go deep for the first time since April 16. The third baseman's first-inning blast was all the Giants needed in the win. Chapman is up to five homers, 18 RBI, 20 runs scored, seven doubles and three stolen bases with a .213/.261/.355 slash line over 40 contests. He's yet to really find a rhythm at the plate, and he's also not showing as much power or plate discipline to make up for his shaky contact. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:49 pm

    • Goes yard again Friday
Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 6-3 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Ramirez has gone 8-for-23 (.348) over his last six games, and half of his hits in that span have left the yard. He started the year slowly from a power standpoint, but the third baseman is up to nine homers, 33 RBI and a .471 slugging percentage through 38 contests thanks to his recent surge. He's still a little light for batting average (.245), but that's nothing to be concerned about while he's squaring up the ball well. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:26 pm

    • Continues power surge
Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the White Sox on Thursday.

Advice: Cleveland was held scoreless until Ramirez belted a 409-foot solo shot in the eighth inning. The All-Star third baseman has gone deep three times over his past five games, pushing his total to eight homers on the season. He's slashing just .238/.282/.450 but ranks fifth in the majors with 31 RBI while adding 25 runs and five stolen bases. Rotowire.com Friday, 12:02 am

    • José Ramírez goes deep in loss to White Sox
José Ramírez slugged a solo homer on Thursday in the Guardians’ loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Ramírez and Josh Naylor went deep off veteran reliever John Brebbia in the eighth inning, but it wasn’t enough to spark Cleveland to a late rally at Guaranteed Rate Field. It was his eighth round-tripper of the season and third time he’s left the yard in his last five contests. Rotoworld Thursday, 8:04 pm

    • Receiving rest day
Chapman is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rockies, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Chapman will take a seat for the first time since April 20 in what likely amounts to a maintenance day as the Giants and Rockies wrap up their series with a day game after a night game. Wilmer Flores will fill in at the hot corner for Chapman, who has seen his performance both in the field and at the plate take a step back in 2024 since signing with the Giants in March. He enters Thursday's contest with a .601 OPS, the lowest mark of any season in his career by more than 100 points (.717 in 2021 with Oakland). Rotowire.com Thursday, 9:34 am

    • Posts three hits in win
Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 11-7 loss to the Tigers.

Advice: Ramirez endured an 0-for-17 slump over a five-game stretch from April 30 to May 4, but he's bounced back by going 5-for-11 with two homers and five RBI over his last three contests. That slump has still left a mark -- the third baseman is slashing .245/.290/.448 on the year with seven homers, 30 RBI, five steals and 24 runs scored through 155 plate appearances. He's on track to get back over the 100-RBI mark after missing out in 2023. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:55 am

    • Ramirez has three-hit game in loss Tuesday
Jose Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in the loss to the Tigers on Tuesday.

Advice: Ramirez increased his average to .245 on the season. His .231 BABIP is well below his career .280 BABIP. Despite the low average so far for the career .278 hitter, Ramirez has still managed 24 runs, seven home runs and 30 RBI in 35 games this year. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:15 pm

    • Goes yard again
Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Monday's 2-1 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Ramirez provided the go-ahead run in the sixth inning, tagging Jack Flaherty for a solo homer. Ramirez has now generated a home run in back-to-back games but is still trying to dig his way out of a slump. In his last 10 appearances, Ramirez is 5-for-35 (.143) with five RBI, five runs scored and no multi-hit games. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:17 pm
