    • Set to start bullpen game
Dubin will start Sunday's game against the Mets, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Dubin will kick off what's expected to be a bullpen game for Houston and should handle between one and three innings. The 28-year-old hasn't pitched since Wednesday and logged at least two innings in four of his last six appearances, though he's yet to go deeper than three frames this season. • Not yet throwing
Hamilton (lat) has been rehabbing but hasn't yet resumed throwing, per MLB.com.

Advice: Hamilton landed on the injured list June 18 due to a mid-grade right lat strain. Initial expectations were that he would be shut down from throwing for 3-to-4 weeks, so it's not surprising that the reliever hasn't yet reached that part of his rehab. Hamilton isn't likely to return to the Yankees' bullpen until after the All-Star break. Rotowire.com 48 minutes ago

    • Logs quality start in win
Spiers (2-1) earned the win against the Cardinals on Saturday, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and one walk with four strikeouts over six innings.

Advice: Spiers allowed an unearned run in the third inning and surrendered a solo home run to Paul Goldschmidt in the sixth. He has now thrown exactly six innings in each of his three starts this season and has posted back-to-back quality start victories. On the year, the 26-year-old owns a 3.13 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 29:7 K:BB over 37.1 innings and lines up to face the Tigers next week. Rotowire.com Today, 4:20 pm

    • Hector Neris works around jam to pick up save
Hector Neris allowed two baserunners, but was able to fire a scoreless inning while picking up a save against the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: The Hector Neris experience is often successful, but it’s always an experience. The right-hander allowed the winning run to reach the plate after giving up a hit and a walk, but he was able to strike out pinch-hitter Tyler Black and Brice Turang to keep the runners off the board and pick up his 11th save of 2024. • Harris gives up 10 hits in loss to Diamondbacks
Hogan Harris allowed three runs in 3 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Diamondbacks on Thursday.

Advice: Harris gave up 10 hits, walked one and struck out three. He’s fortunate to have a 3.18 ERA given his xFIP is 4.65. Harris is far off the fantasy radar. The 27-year-old left-hander is set to face the Orioles at home next week.

    • Angels recall Andrew Wantz from Triple-A
Angels recalled RHP Andrew Wantz from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Advice: With Zach Plesac heading back to Triple-A on Saturday, Wantz will get an opportunity to add a fresh arm to the Halos’ bullpen for the time being. The 28-year-old hurler had registered a 6.17 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and a 34/15 K/BB ratio over 23 1/3 innings in seven appearances (six starts) at Triple-A. Rotoworld Today, 3:05 pm

    • Promoted to majors
The Angels recalled Wantz from Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.

Advice: Wantz has spent the entire season in Triple-A, though he missed nearly two months due to a right forearm injury. Since returning from the IL, he's allowed nine runs (eight earned) in just six innings over three appearances. Despite his poor performance, he'll join the Halos as a replacement for Zach Plesac, who was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Six of Wantz's seven appearances in the minors this year have been as a starter, though he'll likely be used as a reliever while in Los Angeles. Rotowire.com Today, 2:55 pm

    • Carson Spiers solid in win over Cardinals
Carson Spiers allowed two runs -- one earned -- with four strikeouts over six innings in a win over the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: Spiers put together a solid start against the Cardinals on Saturday to earn his second win of the season. A double and a single to start the third inning would bring an unearned run in to score after a dropped foul pop error. Paul Goldschmidt took Spiers deep for a solo shot in the sixth for the second run before Spiers closed out the sixth inning for a quality start. He struck out four. The 26-year-old right-hander has been excellent for Cincinnati, posting a 3.13 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and a 29/7 K/BB ratio across 37 1/3 innings. He’ll take on the Tigers at home on Friday. • Throwing from 90 feet
Cimber (shoulder) threw from 90 feet Monday and Thursday, per MLB.com.

Advice: Cimber was placed on the injured list June 15 due to right shoulder inflammation one day after a poor outing against San Francisco , though he reportedly had been getting treatment on the shoulder prior to that appearance. The righty reliever appears to be making progress in his recovery given his recent throwing. However, it's not clear when Cimber will be ready to return to the Angels' bullpen.
