      Corbin Carroll is not in the Diamondbacks lineup on Thursday against the Nationals.

      Advice: Carroll has turned things around a bit in June, hitting .290 over 16 games with four steals and 17 runs scored. However, the power is not coming back yet. He has zero home runs in June and has just five RBI now that he has moved back up in the lineup for the Diamondbacks. You’re certainly not mad at his stats this month, but there shouldn’t be an expectation that the power will reemerge.       Castro is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rays.

      Advice: For the first time since April 15, Castro will head to the bench, ending a streak of 59 consecutive starts. Though he opened the season in a utility role, Castro has solidified an everyday role thanks to his positional versatility and solid production at the plate. Austin Martin will enter the lineup at second base in place of Castro, who has been dialed in of late with a .368/.429/.605 slash line to go with one home run, six doubles, one stolen base, nine runs and four RBI over his last nine starts.     • Swats seventh homer
      Winker went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in Wednesday's 3-1 win over Arizona.

      Advice: He delivered what proved to be the game-winning hit in the sixth inning when he drove a Brandon Pfaadt splitter over the fence in left-center field. Winker snapped a 25-game homer drought with the blast, but he wasn't exactly slumping, batting .333 (25-for-75) over that stretch.       Carroll is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals.

      Advice: Carroll has finally heated up at the dish in reaching base 25 times while adding four stolen bases over his last 12 contests. He'll get some rest Thursday, however, as the Nationals send tough left-hander MacKenzie Gore to the hill. Additionally, Carroll recently overcame a left side injury, so the Diamondbacks were presumably keen on giving him some maintenance. Jake McCarthy will play center field in Thursday's series finale.       Advice: Carroll had been dropped to the lower third of the order against left-handers a couple of weeks ago, but he was moved back to the top third Wednesday.       Ramirez went 2-for-4 with one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Wednesday's 8-0 win over the Mariners.

      Advice: Ramirez has picked up right where he left off following a brief stint on the paternity list. He's gone 4-for-9 with two RBI and two runs scored over two games since he returned. The third baseman continues to do a little bit of everything for the Guardians with a .275/.333/.531 slash line, 18 home runs, 12 steals, 64 RBI and 53 runs scored through 68 contests this season.       Brown (4-5) earned the win against the White Sox on Wednesday, allowing one run on seven hits and no walks while striking out six batters over six innings.

      Advice: The only run scored against Brown came on an Andrew Benintendi solo homer in the fourth inning. Otherwise, Brown was solid again -- all six of Chicago's other hits were singles, and the right-handed hurler didn't issue any walks for the second straight outing. Brown had an awful 9.78 ERA through 23 innings across his first six starts this season, but he's since lowered that mark to 4.72. He's been especially impressive of late, racking up six straight quality starts and limiting his opponents to one run over 19 frames while posting a 22:4 K:BB across his past three outings.       Anderson (6-7) allowed one run on four hits and three walks while striking out five over seven innings to take the loss versus the Brewers on Wednesday.

      Advice: Anderson held an opponent to one run for the sixth time in his last seven starts, but a lack of run support from the Angels stuck him with another loss. In that seven-start span, he's walked at least three batters four times and hasn't struck out more than five batters in any outing. The southpaw is at a 2.48 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 63:41 K:BB through 94.1 innings through 15 starts this year. Anderson is projected to make his next start at home versus the Athletics.
