    • Snaps out of slump
Gonzales went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored Tuesday against the Reds.

Advice: Gonzales was in a cold spell entering Tuesday's contest, as he had gone just 1-for-23 with eight strikeouts across his past seven games. He snapped out of that slump with his second three-hit performance of the season. Despite the recent downturn, Gonzales has enjoyed his most sustained success in the majors, maintaining a .282 average and .755 OPS across 161 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:20 am
    • Nick Gonzales has three hits in win
Nick Gonzales went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in a win over the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: It was a much-needed strong game for Gonzales, who came into today hitting just .224 in 20 games in June. The 25-year-old is still barreling the ball 11 percent in 2024 but his groundball rate has gone up to 52 percent in June and he’s pulling the ball more, which has led to more rollover groundballs and fewer line drives all over the field. He remains a consistent part of the Pirates lineup but more games like this would be nice to see. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:29 pm
    • Sitting Sunday
Gonzales isn't in the Pirates' lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

Advice: Gonzales will get a chance to regroup Sunday after going 1-for-17 with five strikeouts over his last five games. In his place, Jared Triolo will get the nod at the keystone and bat sixth. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:58 am
    • Flashes power Friday
Albies went 2-for-5 with a walk, a double, a two-run home run and a second run scored in Friday's win over the Yankees.

Advice: The second baseman had a sluggish start to the season, but he appears to be heating up along with the weather. Over the last nine games, Albies is batting .308 (12-for-39) with four doubles, a triple, two homers, seven RBI and 10 runs scored while hitting second in the order behind Jarred Kelenic. • Albies triples, drives in one in win over Tigers
Ozzie Albies went 1-for-4 with a triple and an RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Tigers.

Advice: Albies hit his first triple of the season in the first inning to drive home Jared Kelenic. His RBI would be one of two the Braves would drive in on the evening in what turned into an unexpected pitching duel on the evening. Like many of his teammates, Albies has struggled at the plate this month, slashing .209/.229/.418, despite having nine extra base hits. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:03 pm

    • Swats fifth homer
Albies went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's win over the Tigers.

Advice: The second baseman belted the game-winning homer in the eighth inning off Shelby Miller in a 2-1 victory, giving Atlanta its only lead of the night. The long ball was only the fifth of the year for Albies, and the 27-year-old has had trouble finding any rhythm at the plate in June, slashing .206/.227/.397 over 15 games this month. • Albies hits game-winning home run Monday
Ozzie Albies went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Tigers on Monday.

Advice: The home run was Albies’ fifth of the season. His blast off Shelby Miller with two outs in the eighth inning was the difference in the 2-1 victory for Atlanta. Albies’ ISO is now .140 on the season, which is a far cry from the .233 ISO he had last year when he hit 33 home runs in 148 games. Rotoworld Monday, 6:49 pm

    • Dodgers expect Betts (hand) to miss 6-8 weeks
The Dodgers’ current guess is that Mookie Betts will miss 6-8 weeks with a fractured left hand.

Advice: Sounds about right. The Dodgers will mostly go with Miguel Rojas at shortstop for now; manager Dave Roberts said he’d start three of the four games in Colorado this week. Enrique Hernández figures to get the nod in the other. Rotoworld Monday, 5:23 pm

    • Likely to miss 6-to-8 weeks
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Monday that the expectation is Betts (wrist) will be sidelined 6-to-8 weeks, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The timeline is a rough estimate, as Roberts noted that much will depend on how Betts' fractured left wrist heals in the coming weeks. If Roberts' suggested timetable holds true, that means Betts will be out at least until late July. Miguel Rojas is expected to be the Dodgers' regular shortstop while Betts is on the shelf.
