    • Making fourth rehab start Sunday
Silseth (elbow) will make a rehab start Sunday for Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: In the third start of his rehab assignment this past Tuesday, Silseth built up to 71 pitches, but he was blitzed for six earned runs on four hits and five walks while lasting just 2.2 innings for Salt Lake. Though Silseth appears to be fully stretched out for a traditional starting role at this point, the Angels will likely want to see him execute better at Triple-A before bringing him back in the rotation. If Silseth can keep the free passes in check Sunday, he could get the green light to return from the 60-day injured list for next weekend's Freeway Series against the Dodgers. • Picking up another start
Cannon is scheduled to start Tuesday's game against the Astros in Chicago, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After initially working out of the bullpen and recording a three-inning save following his call-up from Triple-A Charlotte on June 7, Cannon entered the rotation Wednesday and came through with a dazzling performance, striking out seven while limiting the Mariners to one run on four hits and one walk over seven innings. He'll stick around in the rotation on the heels of the stellar showing, and Cannon could get at least one more start beyond Tuesday with Mike Clevinger (elbow) unlikely to return from the injured list until the final week of June. Cannon will tentatively line up for a two-start week, with his second outing likely to come next Sunday in Detroit. Rotowire.com 52 minutes ago
    • Narrowly misses quality start
Blach (3-4) picked up the win over the Pirates on Saturday, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out five over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Blach was effective early, striking out the first two batters he faced in the contest and going 1-2-3 through the first two frames. He would go on to surrender a solo homer to Nick Gonzales in the fourth and a second run in the sixth, but the lefty was able to hang out to earn his fourth win of the season and his first in the month of June. Blach has gone at least five innings in five straight outings, issuing multiple walks only one time over that stretch. However, he's also given up at least seven hits in three consecutive starts. • Remained hot in loss
Candelario went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Candelario had two of Cincinnati's five hits, including a ninth-inning double that plated the club's lone run. The once-struggling infielder is having himself a June, going 20-for-56 (.357) with six home runs, four doubles and 14 RBI through 13 games. Rotowire.com Today, 6:00 am
    • Paid for walks
Henry allowed five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three over four innings in Saturday's 9-2 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: The left-handed Henry was slated to be the bulk pitcher but was not brought into the game until the sixth inning, as Chicago loaded its lineup with all right-handed batters. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo sent a slew of righties to the mound before Henry, who entered with the Diamondbacks still in the game, down 4-2. He got through his first inning before giving up two walks and a three-run home run in the seventh. Two innings later, his third walk allowed trotted home on another home run. Henry has allowed seven runs on eight hits and five walks over 6.1 innings since being called up for his second stint in the majors. Rotowire.com Today, 5:45 am

    • Plays field Saturday
Thomas (hamstring) started in center field and went 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored in the Arizona Complex League on Saturday.

Advice: Thomas played the second game of a rehab assignment and first in the field. He tested the hamstring, moving up a base on two wild pitches before scoring on an infield groundout. Thomas was eventually removed after three plate appearances and five innings. He'll be off Sunday before playing a third game in the ACL on Monday then move to Triple-A Reno on Tuesday. The Diamondbacks are aiming for his return June 25, when the team begins its next home stand. Rotowire.com Today, 5:26 am

    • Nick Gonzales lifts homer in blowout loss to COL
Nick Gonzales homered and drove home two runs in a loss to the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Gonzales tied the game at 1-1 with a solo homer off Ty Blach in the fourth frame. The former top prospect has been able to pick up five homers in his 117 at-bats, and that roundtripper along with an RBI on a fielder’s choice give him 25 on the year. • Jake Cave triples, plates three in blowout win
Jake Cave went 3-for-5 with a triple and three RBI in a blowout win for the Rockies on Saturday over the Pirates.

Advice: Cave doubled in two in the fourth off Jared Jones, and singled in another run in the seventh. The triple was the third of the season for the speedy 31-year-old outfielder. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:58 pm

    • Toglia hits grand slam as Rockies clobber Pirates
Michael Toglia hit a grand slam in a blowout victory for the Rockies over the Pirates on Saturday.

Advice: Toglia turned a comfortable lead of 11-4 into a certified blowout with his grand slam off Dennis Santana. It’s the second time he’s cleared the bases and made it home on the same play in 2024, but the other one was a Little League slam against the Cardinals. Toglia has been awful thus far in his MLB career, and isn’t likely to have too many efforts like this even playing his home games in Colorado. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:58 pm
