• Struggles in short outing
Miller did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 4-3 win against the White Sox, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over two innings. He struck out one.

Advice: The Dodgers right-hander labored through just two innings against a feeble White Sox lineup, requiring 60 pitches with only 32 percent being in the zone. Miller has been unsteady since returning from the injured list June 19, generating a 8.64 ERA and 3:4 K:BB across 8.1 innings versus two weak opponents -- Chicago and Colorado. He looks to bounce back in his next start, currently scheduled to be against the Giants on the road this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 8:51 pm

  • Suffers seventh loss
Flexen (2-7) took the loss Tuesday against the Dodgers, allowing four runs on six hits and three walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Things went poorly for Flexen from the get-go as Shohei Ohtani led off the game with a 376-foot homer to right field. The 29-year-old righty has made nine starts since his last win against the Rays on May 8, producing a 5.81 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 35:19 K:BB over 43.1 innings over that span. Flexen looks to capture that elusive third win in his next start, tentatively slated to be against Colorado this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 8:39 pm

  • Chris Flexen allows 4 ER in loss to Dodgers
Chris Flexen allowed four earned runs over 5 2/3 innings in Tuesday’s loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Things couldn’t have gotten off to a worse start for Flexen, who was taken deep by Shohei Ohtani in the first inning for a leadoff homer. He would go on to pitch a scoreless second inning but followed that up by allowing a two-run homer to Freddie Freeman in the third and an RBI single to Ohtani in the fourth. Flexen has an ERA of 4.32 on the month and has yet to record a win. He’ll get one more chance to secure a win in June on Sunday when he takes on the Rockies. Rotoworld Today, 8:36 pm

  • Ohtani homers, pushes RBI streak to nine games
Shohei Ohtani went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s win over the White Sox.

Advice: Chris Flexen’s fifth pitch of the night turned into a 400-foot homer by Ohtani to kick off the first inning. Ohtani’s homer extended his RBI streak to nine games, which ties the Dodgers’ single-season record. Ohtani would drive in another run in the fourth on an RBI single, as he’s now driven in 16 runs over this nine-game span. Rotoworld Today, 8:20 pm

  • Cole: velocity dip versus Mets intentional
Gerrit Cole said after Tuesday’s start that he’s healthy and that he intentionally dialed back his velocity tonight after a long first inning.

Advice: Cole topped out at 98.9 mph in the first tonight, but he was often throwing 92-93 mph in the second. He did pick it up some in the end, throwing his final fastball 95.3 mph, but it was an awfully discouraging performance. It’s good to know he doesn’t think he’s hurt, though. • Yields one run in no-decision
Chirinos allowed one run on three hits and three walks over five innings in a no-decision against Kansas City on Tuesday. He struck out five.

Advice: Chirinos looked solid again in his second start this season, punching out five with eight whiffs in a 78-pitch performance. Considering Miami's injury woes in the rotation, the 30-year-old right-hander should remain a starter as he's posted a 2.70 ERA with 11:3 K:BB over 10 innings so far. Chirinos currently lines up for a difficult opponent in his next outing as he draws the Phillies on the road this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 8:16 pm

  • Bobby Miller allows 3 ER in short outing vs. CWS
Bobby Miller allowed three earned runs over two innings in Tuesday’s win over the White Sox.

Advice: Miller surrendered a two-run homer to Andrew Benintendi in the bottom of the first inning, and later saw an Eloy Jiménez double bring Luis Robert Jr. around to score. Miller allowed four baserunners in the frame and needed 38 pitches to get out of the inning but was pulled after the second inning and 60 pitches. It was just Miller’s fifth start of the season and his second-shortest outing on the year, as he was erratic for much of the night, with only 33 of his pitches going for strikes. The young righty has allowed three earned runs or more in three of his starts this season and saw his ERA jump to 6.75 after Tuesday’s outing. If he’s given the chance, Miller will look to correct course in his next start, which is scheduled for Monday against the Diamondbacks. Rotoworld Today, 8:13 pm

  • Allows four runs in loss
Suarez (10-2) took the loss against the Tigers on Tuesday, allowing four runs on nine hits and no walks with four strikeouts over six innings.

Advice: Suarez opened with four scoreless innings but ran into trouble in the fifth, allowing four runs on five hits in the frame. He rebounded with a scoreless sixth but departed with a 4-0 deficit. This was just the second time Suarez allowed four earned runs in an outing this season, as he had allowed only four total earned runs in 20.1 June innings prior to Tuesday. The lefty owns a 2.01 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 99:19 K:BB this season and lines up for another start this weekend against the Marlins. Rotowire.com Today, 8:05 pm

  • Allows six runs in no-decision
Allen did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 10-8 win over the Orioles, allowing six runs on nine hits and one walk with five strikeouts over three innings.

Advice: Allen surrendered at least one run in each inning he pitched, including three total home runs. He allowed back-to-back homers to open the fourth frame before being pulled at just 60 pitches. Allen had been off to a solid start in June, yielding six earned runs over 17 innings entering Tuesday, but this is now the third time this season he has been responsible for six or more earned runs in an outing. The young lefty owns a 5.72 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 64:31 K:BB over 78.2 innings in 2024 and lines up to face the Royals this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 8:02 pm
