• Managing inflammation
Rangers GM Chris Young said Tuesday that Jung (wrist) is dealing with tendon inflammation and classified a potential return on the current road trip, which runs through Sunday in Baltimore, as "ambitious," Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning Newsreports.

Advice: The 26-year-old was shut down for the weekend after experiencing residual soreness in his surgically repaired right wrist, and he returned to Texas to be evaluated further Tuesday. Young indicated the expectation is that Jung's inflammation could subside within a few days, so the third baseman's return from the injured list may not be pushed back signficantly. • Returning to Texas for evaluation
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Tuesday that Jung (wrist) returned to Texas to be evaluated and "make sure everything's fine," Kennedi Landry of MLB.comreports.

Advice: The 26-year-old was shut down over the weekend after experiencing residual soreness in his surgically repaired right wrist, and he apparently wasn't able to resume taking live batting practice Monday as hoped. Bochy didn't rule out a return before the end of the current road trip that wraps up this weekend in Baltimore, but for now, Jung's immediate outlook is up in the air as he gets checked out. • Josh Jung (wrist) undergoing further evaluation
Rangers general manager Chris Young told reporters Josh Jung is dealing with tendon inflammation in his surgically-repaired right wrist.

Advice: Not great. Rangers manager Bruce Bochy told reporters Jung didn’t take batting practice on Tuesday and declined to offer an updated timetable. The hope was that the 26-year-old third baseman would be ready to return at some point this week, but he’s headed back to Texas to undergo further testing after experiencing soreness last week in his surgically-repaired wrist. There should be an additional update on his status at some point later this week. Rotoworld Today, 3:15 pm

  • Yandy Díaz sparks Rays to comeback win over M’s
Yandy Díaz came through with a tie-breaking RBI single in the eighth inning on Monday, propelling the Rays to a 4-3 comeback victory over the Mariners.

Advice: Díaz capped off Tampa Bay’s late-inning rally by chopping a go-ahead run-scoring single into right field off Seattle closer Andrés Muñoz. The 32-year-old on-base machine has heated up at the dish of late, notching multi-hit performances in five of his last six games since June 19. He’s also homered twice during that span, just for good measure. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:42 pm

  • Belts 20th homer
Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a stolen base and one additional RBI in Monday's 3-2 win over Baltimore.

Advice: Ramirez opened the scoring in the first inning with an RBI-single before launching his 20th home run of the season off Orioles starter Cade Povich in the sixth. Ramirez continues to be active on the basepaths, notching his fourth steal over the past week. The 31-year-old is having an MVP-caliber season, batting .276 with 20 home runs, 69 RBI, 59 runs scored and 15 stolen bases in 73 games played. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:41 pm

  • Drills 15th home run
Devers went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and two runs scored in Monday's win over Toronto.

Advice: Devers put the Red Sox on the board with a two-run shot in the fourth inning. He has five homers in 20 games this month, though only two have come in his last 16 appearances. Devers bumped his slash line up to a robust .282/.366/.544 with 45 runs scored and 33 extra-base hits. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:40 pm

  • Devers has three hits, home run against Blue Jays
Rafael Devers went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a two-run home run against the Blue Jays on Monday.

Advice: Devers’ home run was his 15th on the season. It was his third home run against Blue Jays starter Chris Bassitt in 14 career at-bats and fifth home run in the month of June. Devers is hitting .282 with a .910 OPS and 41 RBI this year.

  • José Ramírez swats 20th homer, Guardians top O’s
José Ramírez went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI on Monday, powering the Guardians to a 3-2 victory over the Orioles.

Advice: Ramírez kicked off the scoring during Monday’s series opener at Camden Yards with a run-scoring single in the opening before delivering a go-ahead solo shot -- his 20th round-tripper of the season -- off Orioles rookie southpaw Cade Povich in the sixth inning. The 31-year-old fantasy stalwart has been the model of consistency for nearly a decade at this point and has shown zero signs of slowing down at all. He’s been on a roll over the last few weeks, batting .317 (38-for-120) with 11 homers and eight steals over his last 30 games. He’s at 20 homers and 15 steals on the season with a real shot at notching his sixth career 20/20 campaign before the All-Star break. Unreal. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:27 pm

  • Advances to running bases
Rendon (hamstring) was cleared to run the bases Monday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Rendon continues to take steps forward in his rehab, and Bollinger notes that Monday's workout is the first time he's been given the green light to circle the bases since suffering a left hamstring strain. The 34-year-old remains without a firm timeline for a return, though the club should have an idea of what his minor-league rehab assignment will look like in the near future.
