• Wyatt Langford exits game with leg injury Saturday
Wyatt Langford was removed from Saturday night’s battle against the Royals after suffering a leg injury while running to first base.

Advice: The 22-year-old phenom hit a slow tapper out in front of home plate and was much slower than usual getting to first base. The exit could have been precautionary, with the Rangers holding a big early lead in the game, but we’ll know more when they provide an update on Langford’s status. Stay tuned. • Departs with hamstring tightness
Langford exited Saturday's game against the Royals in the fifth inning due to right hamstring tightness, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Langford slowed up noticeably while trying to beat out a dribbler in front of the plate in the top of the fifth inning and was removed for defense prior to the bottom of the frame. The rookie figures to be sent for an MRI to determine the extent of the injury. Langford was hitless in three plate appearances Saturday before being lifted. Rotowire.com 27 minutes ago

  • Returns from IL with homer
Kiermaier went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Activated from the injured list earlier in the day following a minimum absence with a hip injury, Kiermaier took reliever Derek Law deep in the eighth inning to extend the Blue Jays' lead. It was his first longball of the season and just his third extra-base hit. Kiermaier finished last season with an above-average 104 OPS+, but for fantasy purposes he remains more of an AL-only play. Heyward (back) took batting practice on the field prior to Saturday's game against Atlanta, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Hewyard was cleared to begin baseball activities Friday, and Saturday marks the first time he has taken batting practice since landing on the injured list April 3. The veteran outfielder still doesn't have a clear return timeline, but he may move onto simulated games if his back is able to hold up after a few rounds of BP. Rotowire.com Today, 3:47 pm

McCormick (hamstring) began running Saturday and could participate in batting practice within the next few days, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Manager Joe Espada said McCormick has been feeling better since tweaking his hamstring Tuesday, and the team hopes to send him on a minor-league rehab assignment "pretty soon." The 29-year-old outfielder will be eligible to return from the IL on Wednesday, though the Astros haven't indicated whether or not he'll be ready to go by then. Rotowire.com Today, 2:51 pm
