• Nabs fourth steal
Taylor went 0-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base in Thursday's extra-innings win over the Phillies.

Advice: Getting the start in center field and hitting leadoff, Taylor didn't have much success at the plate but took advantage in the eighth inning when he reached on a Bryson Stott error, swiping second base and coming around to score on a Harrison Bader single. Taylor has seen sporadic playing time of late as the Mets' fourth outfielder, and through 91 plate appearances on the season he's slashing .256/.278/.372 with two homers, four steals, 10 runs and 13 RBI. • Heyward (back) done with rehab
Jason Heyward (back) has finished rehabbing his lower back issue that has sidelined him since late March.

Advice: Heyward was with the team at Dodgers Stadium on Thursday and manager Dave Roberts told reporters he will be activated soon. It remains a question what the corresponding move for Heyward’s activation will be. Enrique Hernandez and Chris Taylor have both struggled this season, but they can also play multiple positions and Taylor is owed $13 million in 2025. James Outman was a revelation last year, but he has options remaining and is hitting .147 this year. Outman could be the de facto choice. Heyward slashed .269/.340/.473 in 124 games with the Dodgers last year. Rotoworld Today, 6:58 am

  • Begins rehab assignment
Wiemer (knee) went 1-for-3 with a run scored in his first rehab game with Triple-A Nashville on Thursday.

Advice: Wiemer has been out since early May with a left knee strain but has made enough progress to test things out in a game setting. Because he hasn't missed much time, Wiemer's rehab assignment shouldn't last more than a few days. Rotowire.com Today, 6:34 am

  • Swats leadoff homer
Benson went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Benson homered to lead off the game, his second long ball in three games and sixth of the season. He's batted leadoff in all three contests, taking the spot normally reserved for TJ Friedl (thumb), and has hit safely in all three. It's overall been a rough start to the season for Benson, who's slashing .196/.290/.406 while striking out an alarming 40.1 percent of the time. Rotowire.com Today, 5:48 am

  • Makes third straight start
Capel started in left field and went 1-for-2 in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Capel made a third consecutive start -- all against right-handers -- and was eventually lifted for a pinch hitter against a lefty reliever. He's 2-for-8 with a stolen base and a run scored over five appearances since having his contract selected May 7. His opportunities have increased lately due to injuries to TJ Friedl (thumb), Christian Encarnacion-Strand (wrist) and Jonathan India (migraines). Rotowire.com Today, 5:42 am

  • Clubs two-run homer
Olivares went 2-for-4 in Thursday's win over the Cubs with a double, a two-run homer and two runs scored.

Advice: Olivares put the Pirates on the board with a two-run blast off Justin Steele in the top of the first and later added a double in the sixth before coming around to score on a sacrifice fly from Yasmani Grandal. The home run was Olivares' fifth of the season and he's now hit safely in three straight games. It also marked only the second time this season he scored two runs in a contest. • Will Benson crushes leadoff homer in Reds’ win
Will Benson walloped a leadoff homer on Thursday in the Reds’ win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Benson has homered in two of the last three contests out of Cincinnati’s leadoff spot. He’s shown glimpses of immense five-category fantasy potential, but the plate skills simply haven’t improved to the point that he can really put it all together and make the leap to superstardom. He’s struck out in 39.5 percent of his 162 plate appearances through 42 contests, which has contributed greatly to a lackluster .196/.290/.406 triple-slash line. He’s up to six homers and eight steals already, which puts him on pace to set new career-high marks in both categories. However, the plate skills need to improve if he’s going to make a massive impact in shallow mixed leagues down the road. Rotoworld Today, 3:02 am

  • Slow start to season continues
Margot started in center field and went 0-for-3 in Thursday's loss to the Yankees. He's hitting just .169 with a .460 OPS this season.

Advice: The Twins traded for Margot in the offseason thinking he'd be insurance in center field if Bryon Buxton was injured and could find a right-handed platoon role. However, he's struggled to provide any offense and made just his second start this month in center field despite Buxton missing the last two weeks with a knee injury. Margot may continue to languish on the bench until he gets going at the plate. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:37 pm

  • Olivares goes deep Thursday
Edward Olivares went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI against the Cubs on Thursday.

Advice: Olivares is a platoon player and made the most of his opportunity with a double and a home run against Cubs left-hander Justin Steele. The home run was his fifth of the season. Olivares was replaced by Rowdy Tellez once the left-handed pitcher was removed from the game.
