• Murphy: Trevor Megill didn’t fracture right elbow
Brewers manager Pat Murphy told reporters late Tuesday that Trevor Megill didn’t suffer a fracture when he was hit on the right elbow by a line-drive.

Advice: It’s an extremely encouraging update at Megill appears to have avoided serious injury after being struck directly on the right elbow by a 99-mph line-drive during Tuesday’s extra-inning showdown against the Cubs. The 30-year-old stopper is presumably day-to-day for the moment with a contusion, but it wouldn’t be surprising if he wound up requiring a trip to the injured list, just to bring in a fresh arm. • Neris blows save, Cubs down Brewers in extras
Hector Neris blew his second save of the season in the Cubs’ win over the Brewers on Tuesday.

Advice: Neris entered the game with a 1-0 lead and recorded two outs to open the bottom of the ninth. He then ran into trouble when he walked Christian Yelich, only to later balk and move Yelich into scoring position. Willy Adames would later single with two strikes to drive in Yelich and for the game into extras. It’s just the second blown save of the season for Neris, who has managed to close things out when called upon despite a concerning 1.56 WHIP. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago
  • Ben Brown no-hits the Brewers for seven innings
Ben Brown pitched seven innings of no-hit ball in the Cubs’ win over the Brewers on Tuesday.

Advice: Brown was excellent in this one. The righty needed just 41 pitches to get through the first four innings and struck out six of the first 12 batters he faced to start the game. His two walks allowed were his lone blemishes on the evening, but Brown has now allowed just two hits in his last 13 innings pitched while boasting a 19/5 K/BB ratio. Brown lowered his ERA to 2.72 on the season but was robbed of his second win after Hector Neris blew a save opportunity in the ninth. Brown will look to continue his hot streak in his next start on Sunday against the Reds. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

  • Jhoan Duran picks up eighth save vs. Royals
Jhoan Duran earned his eighth save of the season in Tuesday’s win over the Royals.

Advice: Back-to-back hits to kick off the ninth got Duran in trouble early, but he was able to buckle down and retire his remaining batters to earn the win for the Twins, who have now won six of their last seven. Duran now has eight saves on the season and has yet to blow a save in any of his outings. Rotoworld 28 minutes ago

  • Woods Richardson picks up second win vs. Royals
Simeon Woods Richardson allowed two earned runs over five innings, picking up the win on Tuesday against the Royals.

Advice: Woods Richardson allowed two runs in the fifth when Garrett Hampson and Kyle Isbel drove in runs in back-to-back plate appearances. He was far from dominant, but Woods Richardson allowed just five total base runners on the night and had the Twins in position to win he made his exit. Tuesday’s win marks his first since April 13th, as Woods Richardson will now look to pick up his third win on Sunday against the Astros. Rotoworld 37 minutes ago
  • Cole Ragans allows three earned runs in loss
Cole Ragans allowed nine hits and three earned runs over five innings in Tuesday’s loss to the Twins.

Advice: Ragans ran into trouble in the first inning when he allowed back-to-back hits to his first two batters faced, only to see both players score on a Jose Miranda single a few batters later. Ragans would allow another run in the fourth on a Manuel Margot double, as the left was hit around for much of the evening. His nine hits allowed tied for the second-most he’s allowed on the season, as Ragans has struggled at times to limit base runners despite a solid 3.49 ERA. He walked 30 batters while walking eight this month and is scheduled to make his next start on Sunday against the Padres. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

  • Kirby Yates earns eighth save vs. D-Backs
Kirby Yates earned his eighth save of the season in Tuesday’s win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Yates had to tightrope out of danger to earn the save in this one. The righty allowed a two-out walk to Eugenio Suárez only to see a single by Gabriel Moreno move Suárez into scoring position. Fortunately for Yates, a strikeout of Kevin Newman would end the game and secure the win for the Rangers, who have now won back-to-back games after dropping their previous six. • Exits with injury
Megill was removed from Tuesday's game against the Cubs after getting hit in the right arm by a line drive, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: Megill entered Tuesday's game in the 10th inning and threw three pitches to Mike Tauchman before getting taking a 99-mph line drive off his right (throwing) arm. Megill immediately came out of the game and will presumably head into the clubhouse for imaging. The Brewers should have more information on his status following Tuesday's contest. • Trevor Megill exits after being hit by line drive
Trevor Megill left Tuesday’s relief appearance against the Cubs with an apparent injury.

Advice: Ouch. Megill was struck on the right elbow by a 99-mph line-drive off Mike Tauchman’s bat in the 10th inning of Tuesday’s showdown against the Cubs and immediately left the contest. The 30-year-old righty will likely head for X-rays to determine the extent of the damage. There should be an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld 47 minutes ago
