      Advice: Elder turned in his second quality start of the season while stepping in for a spot start. This was his first big-league outing since May 19, but it's expected he'll return to Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday after being appointed the 27th man for Wednesday's twin bill.       Carlos Carrasco allowed two earned runs in five innings Wednesday against the Orioles. He struck out three and walked two in a no-decision.

      Advice: It wasn’t pretty, but Carrasco went toe-to-toe with Grayson Rodriguez and kept his Guardians in the game.       Advice: The rookie right-hander put together the best effort of his brief career, setting a new career high in Ks while generating an eye-popping 35 called or swinging strikes among his 89 pitches. The quality start was only Arrighetti's second in 14 trips to the mound this season, but he has given up three runs or less in six of his last seven outings, posting a 4.18 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 39:18 K:BB through 32.1 innings over that stretch.
