    • Hunter Greene posts nine strikeouts vs. Pirates
Hunter Greene matched a season-high with nine strikeouts over 6 1/3 shutout innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Pirates.

Advice: Greene locked horns with Pirates starter Mitch Keller in a throwback pitcher’s duel on Wednesday afternoon at PNC Park, limiting Pittsburgh’s lineup to just four baserunners (two hits and a pair of hit batters) into the seventh inning. The hard-throwing 24-year-old right-hander’s four-seam fastball velocity was up slightly in this one to 98.5 mph as he generated an impressive 17 swinging strikes, with 16 of those courtesy of his fastball/slider combo. It was a relief to see him avoid handing out any free passes in this one after issuing a season-high five walks in his previous outing. He’ll carry a solid 3.35 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 98/37 K/BB ratio across 88 2/3 innings (15 starts) into a rematch against the Pirates on Tuesday back in Cincinnati. Rotoworld 31 minutes ago

    • Dansby Swanson homers in win over Giants
Dansby Swanson hit a two-run homer on Tuesday, leading the Cubs to a 5-2 victory over the Giants.

Advice: Swanson kicked off the scoring in this one with a two-run blast off Giants ace Logan Webb in the second inning. It was his seventh long ball of the year, but third time he’s gone deep since June 1. He’s batting just .192 (20-for-104) with four homers and one steal over his last 30 games. • Tallies third homer
Hayes went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Tuesday against the Reds.

Advice: Hayes tallied the Pirates' only run with a solo home run in the seventh inning -- his third of the season. The performance also extended his hitting streak to a modest five games, though he has no multi-hit performances in that span to go along with only two RBI and two runs scored. Hayes has a disappointing .084 ISO across 215 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:59 pm

    • Grabs one-out save
Phillips struck out the only batter he faced to earn the save in Tuesday's 11-9 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Alex Vesia issued a two-out walk, and Phillips was able to strike out Hunter Goodman on five pitches to secure the save after the Dodgers' ninth-inning comeback. Aside from a three-run misstep in Pittsburgh on June 6, Phillips has pitched well since his return from a hamstring injury. He's at 11 saves with a 1.89 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 22:6 K:BB over 19 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:09 pm
    • Evan Phillips retires one batter for 11th save
Evan Phillips notched a one-out save against the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: The Dodgers initially brought in Alex Vesia for the ninth tonight, but they turned to Phillips after Nolan Jones walked with two outs. Philips responded with a strikeout of Hunter Goodman, giving him his 11th save. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:20 pm
    • Blasts homer, steals a base
Swanson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a steal in Tuesday's win over the Giants.

Advice: The veteran shortstop opened the game's scoring by drilling a 401-foot two-run homer off Logan Webb in the second inning. Swanson later added his fifth stolen bag of the season in the eighth. The big performance was a welcome sight for the 30-year-old, as he entered the evening on a cold spell where he'd gone hitless in 20 plate appearances over his last six games. Overall, Swanson owns a .209/.286/.255 slash line in 245 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:38 pm
    • Framber Valdez surrenders two runs in loss
Framber Valdez pitched six innings of two-run ball Tuesday in a loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Valdez allowed just two hits, but he walked five batters, which fueled the rallies in the third and fifth innings. Valdez worked out of big jams to limit the White Sox to single runs both innings, but the Astros offense did nothing to back him tonight. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:04 pm
    • Imaging comes back negative
Judge said Tuesday that X-rays and CT scans on his left hand came back negative, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Judge had to leave Tuesday's game against Baltimore after taking a fastball off his hand, but he now appears to have avoided a significant injury. The 32-year-old slugger also said he aims to return without missing any games, though he is dealing with a bit of swelling which could sideline him for a day or two, per Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News. • X-rays, CT scan negative on Aaron Judge’s hand
Aaron Judge told reporters late Tuesday that X-rays and a CT scan on his left hand came back negative for any structural damage.

Advice: Excellent news. It’s an extremely positive update from Judge, who added that it’s possible he won’t wind up missing any time at all. The 32-year-old superstar was sent for additional imaging and further evaluation at a local hospital after being hit on the left hand by a 95-mph fastball during Tuesday’s game against the Orioles, but it sounds like he’s managed to avoid serious injury. It’s a massive relief for the Yankees, and fantasy managers as well. He’s day-to-day for the moment. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:00 pm
